National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), members of 2019 Batch C1 and C2 deployed to Soko State, have protest non-payment Nine-month allowances By Sokoto State Government, Insidenaija reports.

In a circular released by the Corps members on Monday, which was made available to Insidenaija, on Wednesday, October 7, the protesting 'Corpers' said, the law provides among other entitlements the sum of N5,000 for their upkeep and also security for them.

Accordingly, they said, since their service year in Sokoto State, on 5th of November, 2019 batch C1 and C2 corps members mem were paid their monthly allowances for the month of June while other months have been left unpaid.

The 'Corpers' explained that, as the law of the state provides, the upkeep allowances is not in the category of privileges that should be truncated without any justifiable reason.

They, however, urged the state government to direct the settlement of the total book-log of the upkeeping allowances of as provided by the law.
