Organized annually since 2016, the International Day of University Sport (IDUS) is celebrated on September 20 and was officially proclaimed by the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organisation (UNESCO) and proposed by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) as the celebration of collegiate sports’ excellence.

The day aims at creating links between universities and their local communities focused around sport, physical activity, and healthy living. In conjunction with HiFL’s major sponsor Stanbic IBTC, this year’s official IDUS campaign is tagged #PlaySafe. The campaign features original jersey giveaways for up to 100 fans via fan engagement and user-generated content and inspirational videos.
