President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that N128 billion has been set aside for the funding of the National Assembly in 2021.

Addressing lawmakers at the presentation of the 2021 Appropriation Bill, the president noted that the N128 billion will be used for the financing of the house.

During his speech, Buhari noted that personnel cost is still the largest component of budget expenditure, blaming it on ghost workers and unauthorised allowances introduced by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
