That's the very point I was trying to make. The conveners of these protests must understand that when you convene a mass action, you attract people of different personalities, temperaments and agenda and things can spiral out of control really fast. That was why Tuface pulled out of the planned protest last year. It wasn't about his own personal safety. The police aren't going to shoot at him. But how about the other faceless Nigerians that will hit the street along with him? Can he guarantee their safety?

I hope the conveners are powerful enough to influence their fellow protesters to follow through and maintain the peaceful outlook of the mass actions. If they don't, things are going to go out of control and a lot of innocent people are going to get seriously hurt or even killed.
