Igbere TV reports that force spokesman Frank Mba has said that some #EndSARS protesters are “beneficiaries of criminal enterprises”.

Mr Mba stated this on Friday during an appearance on Channels TV breakfast show Sunrise Daily.

According to him, there are different people who are motivated by different reasons in the call for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force which has been enmeshed in controversy.

Mba, however, admitted that there are people genuinely concerned about the infraction on people’s rights by SARS operatives.

“There is also another set of people who are also aiding the call for end of SARS. These are people who are beneficiaries of criminal enterprise. Some of them are probably people who are receiving stolen goods and who are into organised crimes such as arms smuggling, illicit arms movement, importation of drugs and other kinds of crimes,” he said.

Igbere TV reports that Mba had told singer Naira Marley on Monday that the authorities are considering reforming SARS and other squads instead of terminating it completely.

Your statement is a failed attempt aimed at diverting from the matter at hand and demonizing the victims of your babaric actions. No matter the blackmail you resort to, Nigerians have made up their minds on this. Crime even begins with blocking the roads and escorting N50 and above from motorists which you guys are reputed for.

SARS are nothing but armed robbers in uniforms, if you have not encountered them before, you will or may not understand the level of mediocrity in them, those people just kill for pleasure.

I'm happy he said some. What about the rest..are they also beneficiaries of crime? These policemen have no idea what they are walking into..it seems they don't know that their job is online..let the protest continue and we will see where it leads us to.

This is how the Arab spring started. If you know you know

It is a shame that the "giant of Africa" is still stuck in this type of barbaric and unjust killings of our own people who are Nigerians by birth till death.

It doesn't satisfy me to say End SARS without saying End Nigeria because the SARS is a representation of the Nigerian people when given power and authority.

'Brothers and sisters', Nigeria will not end well.
