saaphiere: Hello Saaphiere. In truth, internet fraudsters have destroyed the image of our nation perhaps to unrepairable limits. They are a threat to our young ones. As a father, I can confirm that it is increasingly becoming difficult to raise children in the Nigerian society. But let's look at the other side of the coin. Personnel of SARS are just another threat to us all. The media reeks of sad tales of experiences of numerous Nigerians with these people. They go about hurting and extorting people. They label any successful young man a fraudster and in seconds, the person is whisked to their station where he or she is tortured and squeezed off his cash. If compliance is delayed, the victim risks being killed extrajudicially. Apparently SARS is taking advantage of the Nigerian situation - the so-called Yahoo Boys are trully in the population, so, to increase their "market," they arrest as many as possible (whether or not the person is a fraudster).. Last, last, people go bail themselves and they'd cash out. So, you see how dangerous these guys are? Let's be realistic and truthful. Many innocent Nigerians have at one time or the other suffered SARS's injustice. Many did not live to tell the story. Some may never get back their lives. Let's forget that SARS was not created to fight financial crimes. Question, are they going about this so-called fight against the Yahoo Boys in the right manner? Is their practice obtainable in developed societies? Saaphiere, these guys are just cashing out from our problem. This is comparable to arm dealers in war time. They pray the war continues (some actually fuel the war) as they sell arms to governments and make big gains. SARS do not have the interests of the common Nigerian at heart. No, they don't. But isn't this how our law enforcement operates? I know first hand what my cousin went through in the hands of the police. His bail was placed at a hundred thousand naira (isn't bail supposed to be free?) I did a rap song about his ordeal. Our security operatives continue to abuse the architecture of their establishment. We see the army doing the job of the police, the police doing the job of the Road Safety officers, SARS acting outside their original protocol. Do you think it's right for SARS to search people's phones, laptops and bags? Do you think it is right for SARS to bear assault rifles in mufti? Do you think it is right for SARS to harass every young man driving a car? Or is the government implying that it has ruled us so badly that it doesn't expect its young citizens to be successful? I think it is just unfair to label these protesters as fraudsters. While there may be some criminals in the group, we must acknowledge the efforts of the bold victims that have decided to fight back. I actually feel ashamed for not making it to the protest (don't know if there was any in Port Harcourt). Saaphiere, I've tried to make you see things from a different perspective. I hope it works. Regards. 1 Like |

saaphiere: .permit me to tell you to STFU! Just STFU lady. The bolded just reeks of disgust. Who is SARS to stop and ask how I got my car? Is this how police works? If you are leading an investigation then do it well. Why will you ask me to open my phone and you see "google voicr" you say I am a yahoo boy. Woman. If you have no better thing to say. Just shut it. You are a lady and I am not sure u have had much encounter with them . You wouldn't be saying shit. What about the ladies they rape? The extra judicial killings , the extortion . You think everyone sars stops are yahoo boys? Let me enlighten you. No. Will like you to make a research on why Sars was created I am not surprised this is coming from something that thinks nothing but about Big brother Show. If you had spoken sensibly perhaps you might just c onvince me that the show isn't a brain draining one. |

No foreign pics, I'm not on IG, my only account is Facebook with my face. Yet they harrased me till I could call my friend to send me 30k. They refused me calling my parents cos they were looking at my phone as I was dialing. See this vagina person, just shut up there if you don't know what to say. Stop talking trash. 1 Like |

saaphiere: It is not the mandate of the SARS to stop a citizen and request such...if you think that a citizen is into criminality...report to the authority and they will request warrant from the judiciary and state reasons why the citizen should be investigated and the judiciary will give them the approval to carry out the investigation: it is called due process of the law and should be extended to all citizens irrespective of status: however, when the norm is SARS to be the executor, the judiciary, and the legislator of the law...you will then allow the abuse of power and order in the society: We need law that will define how we will live in this country in all areas and both the executives and citizens living to the mandate of such laws: 1 Like |

MY VIEWS FROM 2 PERSPECTIVE VIEW NUMBER 1 SARS Reform This squad/UNITY of the Nigerian police was created for a reason. To stop or apprehend criminals especially thiefs and armed robbers and to cub kidnappings Are yahoo boys thieves, kidnappers or armed robbers? If they fall within any of these categories, then all we need if a reform Taken them completely away would result in the rise of criminal activities. That is something we don't right now SOLUTION New intakes should be properly orientated, current personels should be re-orientated on the set objectives of wHat the unit was created for VIEW NUMBER 2 ENDSARS Do these operatives really commite heinous crimes as reported by citizens? If yes, when complaints were made by these brutalized citizens, what did the government do? Were these operatives punished for their actions ? If No, then knowing the type of country we leave in, I think SARS should be scrapped and new unit/squad with well trained operatives/personells be created Let the objects of this unit be spelt out for all MY STAND? REFORM SARS |

saaphiere: You are talking from your lack of experience. Police has not brutalized you or extorted you before. First, you do not have a car, even if you do, you don't travel with it. So I don't blame you. Also let it be known to you that the way police will treat a doctor or banker on the road is not thesame way they will treat a business man who earns by working for himself. I have seen it all. You just lack experience. 1 Like |

Vianna: You are very wrong. Nigerian police has alot of illiterate people as employees. I was 27 and driving a beautiful car. Police stopped me and asked if I owned the car, I said yes. They said how, I showed them my ID card, he said, No wonder. What is no wonder ? Because I was working in a big company that he knows the address. Thesame me was 31, and driving another car, police stopped me, asked me who owns the car, I said me, they asked for ID, I showed him my driving license, he said where do I work? I told him the name of my company, he towed my car. That is how stupid some officers are. To him, I can't own a company, and drive a big car at my age. Unless I was working for X bank or Y oil company. That is how they reason. Rich people in the country now sef, no dey show themselves for fear of victimization. They fly Keke Napep. 1 Like |
