True! It is only free in the uk if you are resident or a citizen. No citivenship, for your baby but you will have a fantastic treament even a follow up after delivery.Go with a minimum of 2000 pounds. This is lot cheaper than the very good hospital in Lagos. |

Hello all, I have really found this forum very educative. I intend to have my baby in the U.S. Never been there before. My husband already has a 2 year visa which expired sometimes last month. we intend to apply together very soon. My questions are 1) Would it be a good idea to apply together or individually (because i already have a slight budge) 2) Does my husband previous visa increases my chances of getting the visa or not Honest responses would be very much appreciated. |

We had our first and second baby in the U.S . The birth certificate for our first child took about 3-days in Atlanta and the second child's certificate was one week in Dallas-Texas. |

GBAM!!! @Ring of God, i advise you to speak the truth and tell the consular your intention of having your baby in the US . . . I also did same and it worked out well for me as well. I told him i was pregnant at the interview, even though he didnt know. . . .he just smiled & commended me that i was the 1st person he's interviewed that has been so honest and strightforward. Well, i also told him that the worst that could happen was that he would deny me a visa and i would prefer that, than to get a visa on the pretext that am not pregnant then get turned back at the port of entry in the US based on falsified information. I also know a couple of people that this has happened too. . . The consular officer told me that he would have given me the visa since i had fulfilled all the requirements and i was a frequent traveller to the US. . .BUT he would have refused me at my NEXT visa renewal appointment. . >: 1 Like |

sealshakers: Please, how long does it take to get the child's birth certificate and other docs to guarantee the child's citizenship after giving birth in the US..elpaco,texas. Hello, everything took less than a week. I must advise that we have family in New York, taking into considation the costs associated with lodging, it was still MUCH cheaper in El Paso (doctoresparati.com). And as one person was asking, the hospital was in fact a private hospital where we had a private room. All that aside it was much more comforting than my other deliveries since they basically know why you are coming. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by nikkygal(f): 1:52pm On Jun 18, 2013 |
bettymafy: What i meant was that the consular said ' I would have been refused a visa the next time i come to renew my visa after having the baby. . . . Since if i had lied that i wasn't preganant at the time of obtaining the visa, when i come to renew, they will find out that i had a baby in the US during that time and so refuse me a visa renewal. |

Which hospital and state will u be having your baby? At what stage of the pregnancy do u plan to travel? Yea yea, toomany questions, I know. . . Just indulge me please. |

dancewith: A sis gave birth last year in MD and it cost $7,999. The method of delivery was CS so I suppose normal delivery may be cheaper. In NYC it is way too expensive. I will recommend you also avoid these areas: North Carolina, NY, Atlanta, Michigan There's actually a hospital in Atlanta where one can pay about $4500 for normal delivery and about $6000 for CS. You can check them out and give them a call. www.southernregional.org. |

Good morning, My wife intends to give birth in the US, she already has a visa (was issued since last year). we already have a baby(16months) and he has a visa too. She hasn't used it before and she plans to travel to the US when she is about 36 weeks (currently 11 weeks). Does she need to travel earlier just to use it before that time? I have seen some commendations on doctoresparati.com, and my wife wants to use them too. i have contacted them and they are willing to accept her. My only fear is the immigration at the US airport, since it will be her first time in the US. what does she have to tell them? Any advice will be appreciated. |

ok.. quite a bit of questions..i hope i answer them all... This is my first time in the US...i have actually been denied a visa before... so it doesnt matter whether ure a frequent traveller or not.. it would help if you are obviously but it ddnt stop them from giving me..as for how much to be in your account.. i would estimate about 1.5 - 2m... its just an estimate to show them that you are well able to cover for travel expenses, delivery costs etc. As for the lady who talked about medicaid... although your baby is a citizen and they will not turn you back for accepting medicaid for the child, it will be on your records that you accepted medicaid and when next you go for a visa, they will likely deny you. this is something that most people do not know.. do not accept medicaid even though your baby is eligible for it... unless you yourself are an american citizen 1 Like |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Nobody: 1:55pm On Jun 24, 2013 |
@Ring of God, that isn't true. I contacted a lawyer even before getting the Medicaid. I called the collection office and the Medicaid office it's self. Some of the tips the consular gave me was even medicaid. She is eligible. My cost of delivery is on me. No body will deny u visa because u applied for a citizen. NO no. I got my fact before doing so. I know ppl who have done sooo too. It's not in my record but my child's. how do can u pay 30'000 dollars for a child. America don't expect u to do so. When get there study there system. Get informations. Safe trip |
