Ending Sars is not really the issue here..More needs to be done, like

Getting corrupt political elites out
Reforming the police
Prosecuting corrupt politicans

Most people are just screaming without thinking deeply.

Our real fight would be in electing quality leaders into positions. With quality leadership there won't even be need to protest before things get done.

SARS Has been Disbanded, So what is there Problem

Their problem is the evil happenings going on in nigeria. You want your peace so you can enjoy life but there are so many youths unemployed and so many people being killed in the middle belt as we speak. The protests will continue until the government responds effectively! And if Buhari starts to act like a hardman, things will escalate rapidly.. put succinctly; brace for impact! Peace without just is now gone! It's the days of rage..

Makes sense...there must be a public panel where wrongdoers are named by victims, investigated, sacked, tried and sentenced. Else we are back here again in some mths. No peace without justice. Politicians wd b worried cos their own judgemt wld be next

In as much as people are chanting end SARS, we should equally declare war on this ' yahoo boys' those guys are devils that deserve to be rounded up and summarilly shot no pity here whatsoever. Most of them are the ones sponsoring this protests. IGP should form a new unit ASAP to go after these criminals from Owerri to Enugu to Ibadan to Ogbomoso the yahoo capital of Nigeria, Ogun, Oshun Lagos and the rest. These guys are cellebrating already! The IGP should not be cowed by these evil Yahoo bastards

Don't be unfortunate, that's exactly what EFCC is meant for. Haven't seen anyone campaigning against EFCC.

-Let this disbandment of SARS be properly gazetted by government to assure the citizens that this is not the usual lip service.

-Also how will the disbanded SARS operatives be reformed and accommodated in the police force?

-What about the issue of justice & compensation for all victims of SARS brutality? These are the fundamental worries.

Is there a SARS act that needs to be repelled and gazetted?

You want the former SARS operatives to be dismissed or what? Were they employed as police officers or SARS operatives?

SARS is just a unit created by the IGP to fight crime. Since the IGP has disbanded the unit, the right thing to do is to redeploy the former sars operatives to other police formations. Where they are accommodated shouldn’t be an issue at all since they are still in service.

Going forward, we should be talking about how to reform the police and make it a modern police force that is committed to better service delivery and protecting the people. Reforming the entire police force is inevitable or else, nothing will change.

In addition, we need to ask the IGP to quickly investigate all the reported cases of human rights violation and extortion leveled against the operatives of the disbanded SARS and prosecute everyone that is found wanting. That is what will bring a kind of justice and closure to the sars matter.

You can't elect quality leaders under a crooked electoral system like the one in place today. The leaders in place today will do everything to make sure tht never happens. So the first thing to do is to stampede them out of office then put in place a verile system to checkmate the manipulation of the electoral system... That is what is about happening..

Be educated!

Even Buhari in a drunken state would not do that.
Nigeria is a Republic but yet accountable to United Nations and other international communities for how he rules his country based on human rights provisions.
No country is an island, not even Nigeria that doesn't produce nearly everything they need...except they want to become another North Korea. And North Koreans would tell you that they live an imprisonment kind of existence. It is that horrible.

Sanctions exist for reasons.
Diplomacy exists for reasons.
United Nations exist for reasons.

Don't mind these kids. Nigeria is as weak as any banana republic out there but they will be fantasizing like Nigeria is one super power nation. Unlike countries like China, Russia, Iran, Brazil, India and even Egypt that are truly independent and can tell the West to go fvck themselves in their face, Nigeria on the other still takes orders from the West and the ruling elite are always afraid of being blacklisted.

The truth is that we the people can force the ruling elite to change for the better and they will have no choice than to obey.

Very nice
SARS have killed so many innocent people than arm robbers in the past two years. They have done more harm in the society than good.

Uncle, modern police forces work with data/computer information.
All the police station you have gone to in this Nigeria, have you seen Electricity 24/7 there before?
When you watch American films and see their police flying up and down shooting gun, you FORGET that it is because they have electricity, internet, data to power all their communication and data services that's why they are so coordinated.

Solve Electricity, then you get normal society.

madness as in how? Are you OK at all? You are doing as if you don't live in Nigeria? How many times have they disbanded sars? Abi you nor hear when they said they will be redeployed? Where is the justice for those that have been killed for free? Where is the justice for the innocent ones that have been locked up even till this moment whereby their parents think they are dead?
The system is corrupt starting from Mr president way down. Total reform for all sector including me and you
