The news that Governor Wike banned ENDSARS protest in Rivers State got me thinking, has Wike got the power to ban a scheduled protest without a court order? I know that Governors have the power to order curfew, but do they have the right to ban protest, which is enshrined in chapter 4 of the Nigerian constitution?

He has the right to maintain peace and unity ,protect lives and properties in it's state
