Now back to the topic, i really do not think Nigeria can afford breaking up at this point. Regional governance would be the best option.

What gives you the impression that we can't afford to break up?

We can't use that. 6 geopolitical zones can't work every state is free to form mutual alliance with any state from any zone for their mutual economic prosperity. Just as Lagos did by partnering with kebbi on rice farming.

Merging states into regions will lead to more tribalism

Yes we can. Keep in mind that the geopolitical zones were formed to do exactly what you said- form mutual alliances with states that have cultural similarities. Additionally, people will still trade with each other in my proposed form of restructuring, and on an even larger scale too. For instance, if the middle belt and NW regions go into large scale farming, they will obviously need good roads to move their goods. The SW region, which is endowed with bitumen, can trade between the two regions in exchange for food. I suggest you read about Canada's political structure, which is very similar to what I'm laying out. As for tribalism, local government areas will still exist, and have even more autonomy. This will definitely cool the polity, and reduce tribalism in multi- ethnic zones, such as the Middle Belt and Niger Delta regions.

Am happy u understand my point. Nigeria presently is not ready for restructuring.

How many states in Nigeria can function without federal allocations.

Imagine with federal allocations they owe salaries for months do u know what will happen to those states when the federal allocations stop coming?

Yeah. We should make it a government policy that the economy be diversified and multiple centres of prosperity emerge. Restructuring will then follow.

Let the present 36 states exist instead of merging them to regions as a lot of confusion will be resulting from this union.

Let each states manage its own resources and pay taxes to the federal government no matter what they generate.

If Zamfara state want to survive on selling chewing stick they should go ahead.

States in Nigeria should also enjoy some level of autonomy such as in the case of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales etc

The issue of blame game & disunity from the south that's causing the problem, just the way you are portray it.

Saying Yoruba don't want break up is nonsense, there good numbers of people from others tribes that will not support breaking up of Nigeria, because of what they are benefit, does that now mean the whole trybe did same.

In every trybes in South, they are millions of people among each trybes who will against breakup, because of what they benefit.

Hope you know every trybes have politician that represents them in government and such people won't support breakup

That's why a referendum is imperative

While states seems like a good idea, regions is better. Many states are barely getting by, and removing the little revenues they get from oil money will simply make them collapse. Furthermore, not all states have the natural resources needed to survive. However, with the 6 regions as federating units, every region will have the necessary resources to survive. Of course though, the best regions will be the ones that are able to utilize the human brain- the most important resource of them all

All these can be done as individual states

I almost joined Mr. Adeboye in prayers because he's saying something important here. The message he has here in more important than telling people about Jesus.

The root cause of all our problems in Africa is our unfortunate contact with Europeans. Upon our contact with Europeans, they subverted all our organic institutions which had worked for our ancestors over millions of years.

Our problems began when Europeans dethroned our natural African languages, education, religion, political institutions, etc and superimposed inorganic ones on us.

As he pointed out, our organic kingship system already worked for us and didn't need to be replaced by Britain because once removed, we began living in an artificial political system and society that we didn't bargain for. All these, created cultural disharmony, identity crises, political disharmony, linguistics disharmony, spiritual disharmony, social disharmony, etc.

We have adopted all alien ways. We have adopted an alien perception of reality. Thus, are unable to truly know ourselves. That's why we suffer in Africa.

I wish him understanding to realize that Jesus is part of the problem.

Having it done on a regional scale will be far more beneficial to the Nigerian project. Besides, within those regions, you are free to make whatever states you want, they just wont be recognized by the FG. The three levels of government would be federal, regional, and local

South easterners don't fall for their ploy, they want to use us as bait.

When we said restructuring or breakup they called us ipob, now amotekuns are agitating their own, no follow them.

Restructuring or breakup only favours the SS and SW.

U heard the stats that only Lagos alone generated enough money than 33states. Amotekuns want to use restructuring and totally take over and control Lagos.

While the SS want to use restructuring and completely control all their oil blocks. Imagine how rich akwa ibom is with just 13% do u know what 50% will do?

Both of these scenarios are good but we were insulted and called names for this Mk everybody fight their fight

Now I get what you mean by we can't break up
