End SARS (End Special Anti-Robbery Squad ) or #EndSARS is a movement that started in Nigeria on "Twitter" calling for the dissolution or banning of SARS, a unit in the Nigerian Police force. It is a clarion call to stop police brutality and oppression in the country. The movement began as a Twitter campaign with the hashtag #ENDSARS to request the Government to ban and stop SARS deployment.

The recent nationwide protest against SARS began on Thursday, 8 October 2020, after weeks of anger and outcry with pictures and videos displaying police brutality, extortion, and harassment in Nigeria. Young Nigerians majorly spearheaded the protests in various states alongside many celebrities and activists.
