The ever vibrant youths of Nigeria has declared their interest to form a political party, The "Youth Democratic Party of Nigeria", YDP, which will basically meet their interests. The intention to create the youth political party was declared on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, as a recent check on the social media platform saw the hashtag #YouthDemocraticParty among trending topics. This is coming in heights of recent protests across the country by Nigerians who are demanding for the total scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigeria Police.
