It was gathered that a 7-man gang allegedly
broke into a shop at about 3am on Saturday,

The youths of the community laid ambush for

were apprehended them while two managed to
escape leaving the rest to face jungle justice.

A very disturbing and gory video from the

robbers and a motorcycle in flames. The head
of one of the suspects was missing from his
neck.

Meanwhile, one of the youths condemned the
act, describing it as inhumane and barbaric
while calling on the Nigerian police to
immedately arrest the perpetrators.

Indeed. They say police and judiciary is corrupt. But I have never seen an advert in the papers or on the net where they advertise or solicit the freedom for suspects and criminals for a fee.

It is the people, fellow citizens and today fellow protesters in cahoots with the authorities that undermine institutions by bribery and corruption to miscarry justice.

Why can't society raise hell at every case of institutional failure at every level. Why can't society from villages to town levels barricade police stations and courts to address each and every case of miscarraige of justice as is done in sane societies.

Is it not a case of widely discordant societal values and lazy, iresponsible citizenship that will cause us all to walk away from what is right and leave society to decay.

The horrible truth remains the average Nigerian is backward in reasoning and there's this inbuilt savagery I dnt understand, we as a people clamour for the life of developed nations but the truth remains, we're stil far frm it...
