...asks Buhari, governors to immediately address the people

Reset Nigeria Movement (RNM) has called on Nigerian people to resist the urge to turn the nationwide protest against police brutality into a sectional agenda.

The convener of the group, Osaro Onaiwu who spoke to our reporter on Sunday said the #EndSARS protests have gone beyond issues of recklessness of the police alone.

He said the uprising has now brought to fore, the failures of governance that dates back to at least three decades ago.

Onaiwu said: "what we need now is value reorientation, integrity and capacity."

He emphasised that RNM believes the protest is not targeted at the president or any particular section of the country.

"This is not a time to bring in divisive issues into the protests. Our youths have activated an opportunity for us to reset this nation and we all should key in without sentiment.

Onaiwu further asked the president to urgently address the nation to reassure all that he is in charge of the situation and ready to undertake deep reforms to realign the nation on the path of greatness. He urged state governors to make similar broadcasts to assure the citizens.
