Hoodlums besiege Iwo road in Ibadan, attempt to burn police station (PHOTOS) Reports from Oyo state has revealed that suspected hoodlums who disguised as #EndSARS protesters have laid siege Iwo road area of Ibadan as they attempt to burn testing ground police station. According to reports gathered on Thursday morning on Fresh FM, Ibadan, people calling in described how the hoodlums unleashing terror, asking money from motorists before they can pass. Other hoodlums said to lay siege on the police station while the police operatives said to be shooting sporadically to scare them away. Reports also had it that some hoodlums gave destroyed shops in Agbeni market and carted goods away. Fresh FM gathered that the 615 toll free number to call police is not going through. As a result, there is palpable fear in the city of Ibadan and there is clear indication that hoodlums have hijacked the peaceful protest from genuine protesters in the state. Information also had it that some operatives of Operation Burst that the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde are on ground but couldn't do anything as they were seen only standing aloof and watch how the events unfold. Read details in link below... heendrix: Well I don't know your neighbourhood in Ibadan, but here around Akingbade New Gbagi area, we can't do without Gbagi Police station, infact we bribe them to patrol at night, because failure for them to patrol awon eruku won't let us sleep... Opreation burst was one of the best thing Ajimobi created, although they are very harsh, but they were effective and I hope Makinde further strengthen them . |

TecM0: Imagine you have to bribe them to do their work is still tantamount to being useless Well for my area I think they're doing well cause Operation burst come and patrol almost every night and stay a while Bfr leaving so it has been peaceful over years |
