All refineries built outside Niger delta will not see crude from Niger Delta. They will import crude to their refineries. We will stand on it seriously. Those days have gone. You cannot built a refinery without factoring the closeness to raw materials. 1 Like |

with what am seeing in this country, all our political class need to be crucified, because since 1999 that this country return to democratic rule,if everything that democracy provide and offer to the people, this country would have been like paradise,do you know that every senetor collect more than 200 million every quarter for constituency allowance,in a calculator then multiple it by 4 years, that money alone is enough to drive poverty out of their constituency,am not adding that of house of Representatives members.our political class are devils infact Satan is a good devil compered to where the Nigerian political class are.but one day God will disgrace them |

This is what he suppose to have done instead of paying hoodlums to hijack peaceful protests and the Lekki killings. Beware Nigerians. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are paid agents, they are neither from east or west. They have more than twenty accounts, they would create tribal topics and make tribal comments with another accounts to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers. Also Be aware that tactics and plans has been deployed to cover up the massacre since all their efforts to break southern unity were not fruitful. They have created a lot of Facebook and Twitter accounts with Yoruba or Igbo names for this purpose, one of them is to post pictures or video of people who debunked being killed, those pictures were scripted and earlier been circulated for this purpose. They would discredit real occurrence and give it another title and narratives. Beware of the propaganda They dominates this platform, they are agents of destruction. Evils |
so we should fold our arms and watch the youths vandalized and loot both public and private properties because there are angry right?... the truth is that, the group of youths doing this is just a hand fold while the rest of us hide here to type gebbreash....and a lot of us hv grown weary with this pattern of demanding for restructuring. the government has heard our cry..our voices have been heard,so what now?...we need to go the table with the government.thats the only way forward. when the tension and agitation comes to an end..it is the poor masses that will still suffer..if civil war emanate from this now, it's the poor and average Nigeria that will die most.... so let's take a chill and stop all this rubbish of looting already..let the be peace
|

Best advice for the restive youths. Take a cue from other countries and see how only the poor die. Peace is what we want in Nigeria now. The poor are already feeling the pinch. Let's be realistic. jUeLiZ: |

Come 2023, any useless political party that endorses and gives tickets to any old thief should forget my vote. If this generation will look back at recent happenings, they will take the next 4 years of their lives serious. I don't fan any political party, I just need credible candidate. That's all. We move. It is what it is. |

President Muhammadu Buhari has asked his ministers to relocate to their home states for the purpose of dousing the tension created by the #ENDSARS protests and the lawlessness that followed. The ministers are scheduled to meet with stakeholders to explain federal government’s efforts to meet the demands of the youths. —by Bassey Anthony. Good first step by President Buhari to calm down increasing violence protest. But it is not enough. I think what the government should do next will decide whether violence protest goes away or not. In my view, I think President Buhari should announce many concrete programs to help the youths to believe the government has finally listen to them. One such program is earn-while-you-learn program. The reason I propose this program is Nigerian education is full of theory. That means when students graduate from schools, they lack skills to perform practical projects. I have received messages from Nigeria which suggest jobs are available in Nigeria, but Nigerians don’t have required skills to fill those jobs. That means foreigners are filling up these jobs. Very sad to learn about this. Meanwhile, earn-while-you-learn programs allows youths opportunities to acquire real jobs skills—which employers can recognize for employment. The unrest that is going on in Nigeria is officially blamed on police brutality, but I think lack of employment opportunities for the youths is the real cause of the violence. Report of high unemployment rates among all age groups is worrisome. If this high unemployment figure keeps rising it will destabilize the government. Furthermore, the government can end this violence protest by investing in infrastructure programs such as renovating abandon housing units, repairing roads, bridges, and building affordable houses for all the citizens. These kinds of infrastructures engagement create jobs for locals and stabilize families. In addition, I will like Nigerian government to immediately raise minimum wage. Wages are very low in Nigeria. The federal government should raise minimum wage and pass fairness paycheck law. The fairness paycheck law will make sure men and women get equal pay and people get paid based on their skills. In addition, it will protect against discrimination or tribalism. Another program I like to see in Nigeria is welfare checks for citizens who are unable to find work. Under welfare program, people unable to find work, should get some checks every week or month from government until they can find work. These are the concrete policy programs the government can engage Nigerians in right now if peace is to be achieved.

imagrg:with this statement, you made nonsense of any attempt by the youth to make a change .... The poor will die had been the song since Babangida was the president of this country since a can remember. If the youth had done something several like this in the past, no government would have taken them for a ride. Keep saying the poor will die. For keeping quiet has it made them wealthier? |
