Was living with my uncle though had a small job that sustained me but during this particular time, senior man was damn broke. I had nothing left on me and my bro just arrived from the village with plenty of yellow garri. Na so I concentrate on the garri for close to a week my people to the extent that he started noticing rapid decline in the volume of his garri. I ate garri sotey I no get strength again. Nobody told me before I quickly locate my family house . That day I met them cooking white rice and they were deliberating on where to find money for the stew. Brothers and sisters, I just told them to serve the white rice like that as far as salt dey there na. All my body dey shake, before stew ready that day I don finish everything. My mother just dey pity me upandown

In this life, one should never wish to live with a people who don't give a damn about your survival. The worst part of living in staying in a place where food is abundant but still go to bed without eating a damn thing. My survival na only God.
Laslas, what doesn't kill you won't make you stronger. It will break your spirit, destroy any form of hope you have for a better future and make you stay contented with misery and pain.
Constant hunger and state of being broke don't only make you malnourished. It will twist your psyche and sanity so much that death becomes an easy way out for those without the strength and will to continue while those who can resort to any means possible to survive.

I just pray that people we make it out of all kinds of difficulties in life ALIVE and UNSCATHED and with our mental wellbeing intact.

During my uni days back then in Ghana I was so broke all I had was 5ghc and the next time my allowance was coming in was a week away, I had no foodstock not even noodles, I calculated the number of pure water satchets I had and luckily it will last the week so I bought garri with the whole money. That day I got to know my own strength and will of survival, one thing about me is I don’t like people lending me money and totally dislike buying thins on credit. After that event I became very prudent with money to the extent at the end of each month I still have half of my allowance on me.

As I'm typing now, hunger no be here Ooo. Na N50 ground I don chop since morning. Yesterday was hunger spree. How night go be today only God can tell. How tomorrow till next week go be, only Baba God go send help yet I need money to travel back to Lagos from Benue state. Na small data wey I get I dey use dey browse dey suppress hunger. Life sha. It is well.

I don't know but this thread just dey make me laugh, my present condition now na yawa.. Woke up this morning not knowing what my family will eat today,i enter street start to dey Waka person wey I been help with 500h naira last month see me today ask me why my face dey down .Long story short I told him my condition and he gave me 5k.. Oh boy my own experience was bad and funny.

I was in 300l then, I called home to tell them about the level of my brokeness but the reply I got was even worst, so I decided not beg my roommate. So someone invited me for a picnic that Saturday, drank water in the morning and I was like let me just sleep, so that I won't feel hungry, omo I was dreaming of food and I had no option than to stand up. I got to the venue so early, I ate like a prisoner and I even assisted them in sharing food simply because of extra package but unfortunately for me food no remain. Na so I carry semo without soup go hostel. My friend told me about FCS program and that there will be item 7, na so I run go o. They Sha gave me mountain dew, so on Sunday morning I woke up early to eat semo and mountain dew, then in the afternoon I went to my friends room to eat. All glory to God

Broke? Hmm that's my current situation right now. Business gone bad all of a sudden.
