The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that it will do everything possible in its power to discourage it doctors from leaving the country. This was disclosed by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, after inspecting the new Cancer Centre at the National Hospital in Abuja, on Friday, October 31. Ehanire while acknowledging the hospital's efforts and commitment during the peak of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, noted the Federal Government's commitment to ensure doctors prefer to stay and work in the country.
