No less than three persons have been confirmed dead as a truck, laden with loaded crates of beer on Sunday fell in Lagos.

The tragedy reportedly struck at about 3pm at Iyana Ipaja.

It was not immediately clear if the accident is caused as a result of recklessly driving or not.

An eyewitness told Featured24 correspondent in Lagos that most of the victims are motorcyclists and passengers.

A video from the scene of the incident obtained by this newspaper shows passers-by trying to rescue a man trapped under the truck.

The number of people who sustained different injuries is yet known but image obtained by this newspaper shows some heavily bloodied victims of the accident.

Details of the incident remains sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
