Governor Wike Should Please Allow People In Oyigbo Access To Food And Healthcare by TruthinAction: 7:28am On Nov 02, 2020 |
The outcry in Oyigbo as a result of the curfew and military presence is heartbreaking. People have been allegedly killed. This is a crime. In any case, my main concern are for the innocent. To think that children are also involved should draw attention. Imagine families not having food to eat, water to drink, and drugs to buy. What about pregnant mothers? Besides, there are people of other tribes there. There are many banks there also. Even if it's two hours for them to get food or beg food from their neighbours, the curfew should be relaxed. Only in Nigeria that government dehumanize people who voted for them. Well meaning Nigerians from all sphere of life should add their voice to what is going on there. Why are the soldiers cruel? Why can't they do the same in Sambisa forest? Have they not lost soldiers and weapons there too? I am sure those who killed their men and took their weapons must have left the area before they came. Oyigbo is a very large community with about 160,000 population. Those who committed the crime are likely not up to 0.5% of the population. So why should over 99% suffer for the sins of a few people. Governor Wike, you have children. Please for the sake of the children, relax the curfew so they can get food to eat even if it's two hours daily. Also tell the army to stop killing. Killing is not penalty for violating curfew. 2 Likes |

My friend told me he had a convo wit his army friends they told him their intentions was for people to starve n run out of supplies... Which is already d case... A lot of young men have been killed from d evasion.. |

RoyalUc: People are not seeing it because the media refused to give it the coverage it needed, because it is a PDP controlled state. I have come to notice that media downplays anything that happens in PDP controlled states. 4 Likes 1 Share |

My take is this: all those that come on social media like nairaland to shout 'Wike must go down , the bounty on Wikes head still stand' should all shut the fvck up and withdraw back to their she'll. You are not in obigbo, you don't know what the people are going through, stop adding to their suffering by controlling what you say online. Back to the topic o jare. Wike , Biko, let my people have access to health care and other supplies, Biko , you have children too. I take your kids dey beg you. |

helinues: The so-called miscreants are indegienes of the land nothing can dislodge them from the place forever, and operations like this has never breeded peace but instead it's a bigger chaos and trust me people will adjust to this or flee the place but any military unit that place will never have peace!!! The death tolls are pilling up and I am willing to see how long the can hold.. |

Positivepoint: What would they have done. Two persons with AK 47 can sack an entire community of over 100,000 people. I regret sharing this country with people like you. So, children and pregnant mothers should die because of the sins of few people. Why can't the soldiers go to Sambisa forest and recover their guns? |
