Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 2:49am On Mar 14, 2011 |
Ephesians 4:14-15 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: The proof of growth; the proof that you've become a matured person is not in the size of your muscles; it's in how responsible you've become. Maturity is for responsibility. No parent will bring up their children just so they could become adults and say "That's it! We nurtured you to be twenty-five. Now that you're twenty-five that's all about life." No, the reason they grew you to become an adult is for you to take up responsibility. This is something many in the Church need to realize. You are not just in Church to grow spiritually and then have a nice life; spiritual growth is for responsibility. You grow so you can function and serve in the House of God; so you can be a blessing to others. True spiritual men and women are those who understand and are conscious of the responsibility of service. Refuse to be among those who delight in being served, rather than be the ones serving. Jesus made clear the preeminence the one who serves has over the one being served: "But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.(Mark 10:43-44)." Refuse to be idle in the house of God; be involved in service! Be known for your effectiveness in reaching out to others, as you win them to Christ; invite them to Church meetings and other programs in your local Church. Remember, the ministry of reconciliation has been committed into your hands; therefore it's your responsibility to speak for Jesus and manifest the kingdom of God where you are. That's the purpose for Christian growth. You're being built up to function: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, (Ephesians 4:11-12)." Your growth is for service and responsibility in the house of God, never forget that. Prayer I acknowledge that the glorious Gospel of the blessed God has been committed unto my trust, and as a good steward, I faithfully dedicate myself to serving the Gospel of Christ's salvation to everyone in my world. I thank you heavenly Father, for counting me faithful and making me an effective minister of the Gospel, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Further Study Luke 22:25-27 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. |

Ephesians 4:14-15 warns us of deceitful manipulators of the gospel like Oyaks. I am not surprised he is quoting it and pretending he is not one of the deceivers being referred to in that passage. |

What makes him a deceiver |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by KunleOshob(m): 7:21am On Mar 14, 2011 |
Haba oga joe, you know better than I do that he is a notorious deceiver. Stage managed miracles for one, tithes, first fruits and other scams he preaches to extort money from his gullible/hypnotized members another. Wld stop here for now cause I can actually write a dissertation on 'the deceptions of Oyakhilome' |

Joagbaje: ? What makes him is Joagbaje: Yet he dares to say -
How can someone who is being served, who has become very wealthy because of other people's funds, who is enjoying the sweat of others, WRITE the above and ask OTHER people to refuse to be served? His own service is collecting! Yet others should not do same? Una try! |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Snowwy: 9:55am On Mar 14, 2011 |
Joagbaje, thanks for the word. Service to God is important with our walk with Him. I would advise that you keep on the gospel of Christ's word and do not be distracted by those who never see anything good in the church and who spend their time criticising or initiative threads that don't spread the gospel. May the Lord grant you wisdom. |

Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 10:28am On Mar 14, 2011 |
KunleOshob: there is no need for stage managing of miracles. jesus christ is thesame yesterday, today and forever. miracles are common place in CeC. leaders and members do cast out devils and heal the sick. ask any local member of any branch. i dont want to talk about the miracles through me. you will say im boasting. so when we hear all these stories of staging miracles , we laugh over them because miracles are common place. if theres any staging , it is those who are paid to lie against the church as they did o christ and other apostles. |

^^^ People that dont have the supernatural always doubt the supernatural. If someone has never prayed for some1 that had malaria how do you expect him to believe cancer can disappear, its beyond their comprehension jare. They come here criticizing things they know nothing about, this same pple would have killed Jesus if he came in our time. Who verified the miracles of christ? How many of the pple Jesus and the apostles healed that we know what happened after the healing. Did the bible record how they retained the miracles? How long they lived after they got healed? We didnt hear anything about the woman with the issue of blood, how she lived her life after the healing. This critics will go on and on to criticise things they know nothing about. Me Isoun will not let anyone not to talk, they are only fulfilling scriptures. And according to pastor chris they dont count, imagine ants threatening an elephant. The elephant will just laugh cos there is no point talking back to the ant. |

Joagbaje: Oh come on Jo don't start, remember the woman you supposedly healed of blindness in your church? You gave me her phone number, when I questioned her, the story was different; she said she was never blind. . . I'm sorry Jo, this was probably not meant to go public but it has to. Let me hear your defense to this before I say more. |

Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 11:10am On Mar 14, 2011 |
Sir John, the woman was 100% blind . When I gave you her number and you gave me untrue report. She confirm what you said was false. You claimed she said she began to see after going to herbalist and several consultation. But she told me that what she said to you was that she couldn't see, she went to several places and after much consultations, she was finally brought to me. And after I prayed for her , she began to see. I told you lied to me about what she said. You called her again, and later told me that she is saying something else. You also spoke with her brother and he confirmed her miraculous healing that day . His number is here for anyone to call 08039377331 CHIMA by name. His sister became totally blind. I prayed for her, initially no physical effect but I told her she was healed. I was sharing Gods word ,when suddenly she shouted "I can see" " can see". I asked her how it happened , she said as she was hearing the word , her eyes opened. But no sight. (her eyes were shut before) but as she was listening to the word , faith rose in her and she said "I can see in Jesus name" , the moment she shouted I can see , sight was restored perfectly, she was led by the hand to me , she walked home by herself. I told you I have 4 blind cases healed , I told you of another incurable leg ulcer the hospital rejected. When I prayed for him , he got healed. He had medical report. I told you I had several healing cases. But when I saw what seemed to be insincerity on your part , I didn't bother about the other cases since it seemed you made up your mind that the era of miracles are over |

^^^ Great testimony. I recently met a lady during evangelism, immediately i laid my hands on her she fell down and was screaming, i knew there was a demon in her. I told the devils to go out of her and they did. The lady told me that since she was young a man comes to have sex with her, but after i prayed for her she said she has never experienced it. When we preach the word miracles happen. Praise God. |

@Joagbaje I am currenly laughing my head off - you are now claiming to be a healer. A number of things 1) You have been proved on this forum to be a liar - God cannot use someone like you to heal 2) If you are really a healer as you claim - why do you spend all your time on Nairaland - shouldnt you be fasting and praying ? Shouldnt you be overwhelmed by the sheer number of people coming to you for healing ? Or do you only heal partime Now that you haved outed yourself as a healer, what church do you do your business from ? I am still laughing as I am finishing this |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by SirJohn(m): 12:03pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
Joagbaje: Joagbaje, The woman told me she was never blind but was having peppery eyes thats why she couldn't hold it open for a long time, I spoke with the brother as well and he didn't say emphatically that the lady was blind. She said in the service while you ministered, she started shouting "I can see" I asked her if she started seeing then and she said no that she was only exercising her faith. why not put her phone number instead? why her brothers' number? you don't call the shots here, we decide who we talk to okay. you claim to have 4 blind cases, we would like to independently verify them if you don't mind. No pranks please! ! ! |

Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 12:18pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
@ Sir john. She told me you were lying. She admitted she wasnt cooperating initially . When a stranger called her and started questioning her. And I reasoned with her. She was going through a marital whatever. She was even afraid of the man finding out about this blindness she had before. She doesn't want to remember it. I told you she had a situation with her walk as a christian. These are personal things with her I dont want to bring open . So if someone suddenly appear and asking her such question she would be reluctant but when you said her testimony may bless others , she agreed and told you everything. I don't know her frame of mind right now. You your self said she told you she didn't like the idea of someone using her testimony for advertisement . I cant put her number here. After your treatment of her case. We can do conference call with her brother . he may talk with her if she would be willing. Shey you have her number. But as a counsellor , I advise you to be careful when dealing with a woman with some marital concerns. I dont want to win an argument. Every testimony I share are truth. |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 12:25pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
nuella2: Personal issues are involved. I said she had some issues with her Christianity . She had a fight with a neighbour and the person either a HE or She , threatened her she will sé something. The following day , she became blind. She couldn't even open the yes. For several weeks or so they carried her from place to place. Even native doctor. That's how they brought her to me. She was led by the hand. After I prayed for her, about 40 mins later she saw perfectly. The news went far. The blindness didn't re occur. So i was surprised to hear John say she wasn't blind. She was fully blind . She confirm she narrated all these things to John. Which kin PEPER will be in the eye for weeks. nuella2: I didn't mind really.I have several cases to share and I was willing to give their numbers for verification but it seemed John just wanted to rubbish the testimony to win argument . I refrained from sharing the others since I wasn't happy with his insensitive handling of that woman. I didnt know his intentions again. |

Joagbaje: Joagbaje: Very interesting. First she regained her sight AS SHE WAS HEARING THE WORD I.E. DURING YOUR "PREACHING"/EXHORTATION/WHATEVER". But the same woman got her sight back 40 minutes AFTER you prayed for her? Which one is it, friend? Or was it a 3rd one --> that this "story" is/was a story? What does Isdlam call it- "Al-fatiyah" or what? In Christ? ? I have used YOUR OWN WORDS ABOVE to show you are spouting lies again. This is absolute tripe. "I woke up and slept in Lagos yesterday BUT I also woke in hongkong and slept in Ireland yesterday"means I am a BIG liar. Make we hear word - God does greater than these things but these are lies you are telling. |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by nuella2(f): 12:53pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
God is on the throne. Haters of miracles must appear and post rubbish cos they cant do such. Tell us one miracle, just one person you guys have prayed for. No be mouth mouth, if was only some talkers by now christianity will be seen as another dead religion. Jo, i think you should not bother about convicing anyone as they will never believe you, dont waste your time. God is your witness and the holy spirit inside of you is a witness too. Then no other person is important, afterall you are to ans to God and not man. |

@Nuclearboy There is no lie, if I want to lie, I should have rather said she got healed instantly that should make me feel powerful. But I stated the truth. I have prayed for other blind people before that didn't recieve healing. But the healing thing ,the more you do it the more the grace increase. My greatest desire is to raise the dead. I have prayed for couple of dead people but didn't have result, but I finally had a dead lady rise, I just ministered to some sick people that got healed, the power of God was still on me , when my Capenter came crying that I should excuse him to go home, that he was just told that his sister just died, they wanted to take her to the mortuary and they wanted him to be there. (I had just read the book. MEGA SHIFT. if you read that book , you will have faith to raise the dead) I asked him if she was born again, he said "no" I felt compassion that she was going to Hell. I prayed in tongues . I asked God to grant her another opportunity for her salvation. Then I put my hand on his own. I blew air on it. I told him to lay his hands on her and command her spirit to come back into her body. He went and do it and she rose up. Every body shouted. They later took her to hospital for check up. I had to rush there and fulfilled my own promise to God by leading her to christ. |

^^^ They have not recovered from one yet . I remember the day i prayed for a dead man in the hospital, kai nothing happed, i told myself i will continue praying for the dead when i have the opportunity one day na one day . There is so much inside the new creation, so much power. |

Joagbaje, there are somethings you say that sound really shocking till with the influence of the Holy Spirit, i tend to get what you mean. I must say that you have the Word, some of it might still need to display better knowledge but you are doing good. However, i blame you for allowing some of what is happening to you here. Preach the word of God! If the Lord is using to heal the sick, praise the Lord! Just ensure that you remain a worthy tool in his hands and May the Lord help you to be faithful to Him. Stop responding to these critics who are just hypocrites and pharisees. They don't know their purpose in life and that is why they have taken up the purpose of the devil which is to accuse the brethren and negatively, maliciously criticise while not providing any better gospel or advice themselves. Have you not noticed? A poster Ucheokuchi or something comes online, shares the word and thats it. We that are getting blessed know ourselves You don't need to prove anything to anyone. That is the work of the Holy Spirit and thats why you are encountering these 'sorrows'. After I realised that there seemed to be noway to speak to these bunch even with scriptures, i let off. The Holy Spirit will take control. Dont get sucked into the traps they have been setting to derail every good thing U are doing. That's my advise to you. Open threads, speak the Word and let it be! |

Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by SirJohn(m): 1:28pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
Joagbaje: Mr Agbaje, fine I'm lying, lets talk to her and stop trying to play your usual pranks. In the first place, it was you who put pressure on me to call these people, I refused initially but accepted later, now you're running and making excuses. I don't have her number and would not mind if you give it; you're a pastor, you can advise her to co-operate cant you? or is she out of control? you said you have four blind cases why not give us their details Liar! You cant run for too long you know, your lies will find you out. |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 2:01pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
Snowwy: Thanks you snowy, but you can see I didn't bring it up. When John told me he didn't believe in miracles or healing . That they have seized since the days of the apostles that anyone that claim to heal the sick is lying. I was more concerned for his restoration from this unbelief. Is Shared few things with him. In private. He even said if he sees any genuine miracle,he will come over to verify them, he will tender apology etc . I told him I have several healing cases. I told hims some. I mentioned a woman that was blind in one eye and got healed, a leg ulcer, and some others. Truly he was reluctant at first, he feels I will sent actors to come and lie. He now changed his demand , that he wanted case of someone totally blind. I was shocked for the change in demand. Then i remember this woman case which happened 4 years ago . I said i had a woman healed of blindness but , ive lost contact with her. He said thats the one he wanted. I began to make calls until i got her brother who gave me her number. These were private discussions but its he want of He is the one that brought them openly here. When I saw the way he manipulated to rubbish that powerful testimony . I began to have serious concerns about his claim about healing school. I used to think he misuderstood some things in the healing school and thereby came to wrong conclusion , but I'm seriously in doubt of johns sincerity . It's not a case of misunderstanding now, but deliberate manipulation. It's sad. |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by Joagbaje(m): 2:10pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
SirJohn: You don't need to start insulting. You know I'm not lying. You dont have right to csll me liar until you do proper investigation. I told you before, if I were you I would go to their house and question their neighbours and family members and get the truth out. You can't stand far away and cry Foul! . If you want her number you can ask the brother. You won't harrass a woman facing emotional trauma on my account . But let the brother talk to her first to be sure she is okay for such discussion, |
Re: Pastor Chris: Maturity Is For Responsibility by SirJohn(m): 2:20pm On Mar 14, 2011 |
Joagbaje: Next time when you come out to brag in public, watch your back! !. My account of the healing school remains unshaken, several actors have come and embarrassed themselves on that thread, most of their stories ended up corroborating my account. I don't expect much from you, na your way. . . always running when you start a fight |
