IBILE SOLIDARITY ASSEMBLY a social cultural assembly of Lagos indigenes bemoan the appointment of non-indigenes as representatives of the 5 Ibile divisions in the newly reconstituted Lagos State local government service commission.

LAGOS STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE COMMISSION (LGSC)

It has been observed that Engr Biodun Orekoya representing Ikorodu division and Hon Taofeek Adaranijo representing ikeja division are indigene of Ogun state , while Hon Akeem Bamgbola representing Eko division is an indigene of Kwara State.

LGSC is a statutory commission that is meant for the indigenes of the 5 Ibile divisions of lagos as enshrined in the Federal character Commission Act.

We are also calling on Hon Wasiu Kayode Bawa-Allah the Federal character commissioner representing Lagos State to uphold his mandate and do the needful NOW.

Lagos indigenes are calling on the State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to stop the marginalization of Lagos aborigines and substitute these proposed members with qualified indigenes who are in abundance.
We are also calling on the Speaker and members of LAHA not to confirm the appointment of these 3 nominees.
