This million youths... No sane youth should stand with those who think it is okay to behead policemen, destroy establishments and free prisoners. Those guys are not genuine protesters ..fine. But they are an offshoot of the protest. The world will lump them together with the good guys. I really think it's going to be a two-way battle. Self introspection on Our part and then fighting the government.

I was not talking about good guys or bad guys or even Protesters but I'm talking about a police force fighting millions of organised and armed youths. Even while you're driving to the battle front, you'll be ambushed and discarded. In fact, it's not possible. We should learn to prevent full bloody revolution instead of rating the lethality or BRUTALITY of warring factions. If some external forces cash in on this pending time bomb, there'll be full bloody explosion because if the youths involved find their way to arms and weapons of mass destruction, then Book Harm will be learning from them. So many bloody revolutions could've been prevented but the rulers tried to suppress and intimidate the aggrieved and vengeful parties to defeat and submission, but at the end, they were overwhelmed with surprises. Violence begats violence but love and understanding will prevent violence and extinguish the flames and fire of anger.

You should be more concerned on the shoot on sight than defending thrash.
Any body can be a victim of shoot on sight. You can be in your house on the street, bullets fly on the air, stray bullets.
No use of guns on any protesters. Arrest looters not protesters. You dont disperse peaceful protesters. The NPF should be battle ready when there is any misharp or any faction trying to hijack the protests.
If a looting or breaking in is going on, they should arrive their and make arrests.

What then do you expect the police to do? Sit idly and watch people's lives and properties being destroyed?

Desperate solutions are required for desperate problems. Any group of persons that still clamour for a protest/riot after what the country passed through a few weeks ago is definitely waging a sort of war against the country.

Think about that.

Brothers, Sisters, Fathers et AL who are bent in murdering you and ending your destiny untimely are no Brothers, Sisters, Fathers et AL except you don't know what you're actually saying. A true Brother, Sister, Father and Mother will not murder you without a justifiable reason. Now take that to the banks and cash in on it.

Their counterparts in other climes are providing cover and security to protesters but these ones are busy issuing threats up and down.
I blame the rank and file officers who are not better off if this dungeon of a country that will be flexing their muscles with rifles in the name of carrying out an oder instead of smartly infusing their own grievances and demands into the demands of the protesters.

Nonsense!

Bastard . The #endsars protest have been on going peacefully for nearly 7 days until sponsored-thugs and hoodlums were brought to attack and ruin the efforts of peaceful protesters.

We tried to bring change to our country but deplorables like you are trying hard to sabotage our efforts.

He should withdraw all of the police from them and dont return them again .

If they need escort or security , they should go for private security agencies .

The fear of great united nigerian youths is the beginning of wisdom for our leaders .

When the military juntas were ruling Nigeria, they ensured that the police was poorly funded and equipped so that the police does not usurp power from them.

Notice that the fear emanated from the fact that the police has more men and stations across the country than the military.

Sadly, when Nigeria started practising democracy, the poor funding and equipping of the force continued.

So, today, the police depends on those high networth individuals for funding. The force uses the finances and gifts from those people to take care of themselves, daily operations and their families.

Sincerely, Nigeria is wrecked from its foundation

They have remodel some of us to be an headache to the society and even to us that fights for a just cause. The monsters that the looting and corruption politicians made lived with us the masses. The lives turned and shred into oblivions resides with us the masses, those uneducated urchins, almajiris, area boys, Agberos all lived and dwell with us the masses. These are all products of the corrupt system and forceful marriage called Nigeria. However, we ain't going to say cos of these atrocities by the gangsters politicians, that we would supports the killing or the shooting at sights of these our brothers, no and capital no....we would stand up and talk to them, talk the talk and do the needful to make them change their ways. We would preach to them until they convert that energy of hates that doesn't have boundary to energy of love and determination to join forces with us for a positive contribution to the society and an output to get rid of this bad and corrupt government. Injury to one is injury to us all....You are fortunate to have education, fortunate to have a house to sleep, fortunate to have a job, fortunate to be alive but remember some people aren't fortunate like us to be blessed with just one of these achievement.....#istandforabetternigeria
