Before you got your present position, you went to school believing that your future will be secured, to get a good job and be able to live above an average lifestyle.

Furthermore, on your job, you decided to go for a professional examination believing that opportunities may come your way and you don't want to leave it to chance. You wrote more certifications believing that the windows of opportunities will be opened one day. After all, nobody knows tomorrow.

Similarly in business, you started a business believing that things will work out because going by what you see (5 senses) is not enough. I have been into businesses where all conditions to make the business thrive were perfect but it failed.

So, just like you added value to yourself and held a very strong belief that opportunities will open which eventually did, why can't you just apply the same method in adding more value to yourself and remain relevant. Why can't you just step forward and stop complaining about the economy and recession which is beyond your control?

I have to be sincere with you, if you really want to grow in life which is not negotiable, then you need to add more knowledge to what you already know. Because it's what you currently know that got you to where you are today. If you are believing for more, then you need to always pay your dues which is specialized knowledge acquisition.
