Nigeria just lost one of the 3 few great and sane minds from core northern Nigeria. Balarabe Musa was a resourceful man whose views on and contributions to germane national matters are rich. He has never for once rooted for the undue dominance of his core northern oligarchy. His love for Nigeria goes beyond tribal interest and affiliation. I believe if the core northerners tread his path by putting away tribal bigotry, Nigeria will surely be restructured, thereby creating a competitive leverage among the states and federating units. I hope the remaining living oligarchs in the core north will start seeing Nigeria beyond their life time. Balarabe Musa was a northerner by birth but pan Nigeria by views, interest, philosophy and criticisms. |
