Yes but this kind of ambush style robbery, in daylight in a crowded area, has become rare in Lagos. We know of it on long, empty motorway where bandits and robbers can flee into the bush.

Like someone else said above , this is something from times past in Lagos. Let us hope this is isolated and not a sign of things to come.
oga things like this has been happening, didn't you know of the time in Lagos where female handbags, purse, phones can be snatched from you in broad daylight from guys on high speed bikes, there was even a time people got scared of going to banks because you will be robbed in broad daylight. stop linking every bad vices to end Sars protest it did more good than harm

That means u are exempting d social media influencers of championing d protests. What about opposition politicians? Are u also exempting them?
Not only opposition politicians sir;even statement from ppl like d vice president and speaker house of reps did not help matters at all.

Let me get u correctly. U are saying that d list of people who championed d endsars protests include:

1. Yahoo boys
2. Criminals
3. Opposition politicians
4. Vice president osinbajo
5. Femi gbajabiamila

So what statements did gbajabiamila & osinbajo make that didn't help matters?

I hope you understand what happened here? This is not petty opportunistic crime and robbery that will always be part of Lagos socio-economic life. This is ambush of an armoured van by guys with AK47 spraying bullets wildly.

Not being alarmist but this type of crime is not common in Lagos these days.

Video: Armoured Van Robbery Ajah Lagos Today!!!

This was earlier today. Apparently the attackers used AK47 and fired wildly. Some of us warned of stolen and looted weapons in wrong hands.

Ajah and Badore has a lot of thugs, cultists and criminal elements but I can't recall anything like this happening before. Someone sad to me today this is a sign of things to come through December. Lagosians be careful and watchful.

I can bet you that this robbery is caused by those disbanded criminal SARS guys. They want people to believe that crime has returned because of their disbandment.

Idiot!
The "good" thing your so called protest brought aeyw visible.
Prison break, shops looted, armed robbery has increased and people now live in fear more than before, and bring that pangolo head of yours let me spit sense into it.

Whatever rubbish good you were fighting for has increased crimes almost in tenfold.

I would rather be a slave to someone in tgw village than follow your foolish youthful exuberance.
A slave doesn't have sense of his own. You are a slave.

Everything has started.

We are back to lagos without security. Lagos of 1999.

When you burn down your system, the evil in the system will turn back to bite you.

Note: that van is bullet proof
Like there was ever a time things were working well in Nigeria.

Funny comment OP

before the endsar destruction, there was no robbery like this.

In ikorodu people are busy crying for help because of armed robbers.

The south is a mess and a dead zone.
not in southeast we are safe and hard working

Actually there were robberies like this...perpetrated by SARS personnel...against law abiding citizens. Talking about playing the ostrich.

I wrote on tweeter:
people calling to #endsars will later says " Bring back sars"
All that Nigerian Police needs is reformation and orientation, use of force management training, provision of working equipment and tools like body camera for each officer, lesser weapons like pepper spray and taser, and understanding of citizens rights.
