Rocksvibes234: Thank you Rockvibes 234 for this contribution. Do you think the terminal building is big enough to serve as international and domestic terminals? 9 Likes 1 Share |

Good update! Any idea of the cost of the project? 5 billion was allocated in next years budget, and i think same amount was set aside in this years budget. With what i’m seeing and with what’s left undone, the cost definitely is more than 10 billion naira. It could be that some coys like Orient Petroleum has a stake in the project and is sharing part of the cost, but we can’t say for sure because we haven’t been given the cost of the revised airport project or the investors involved. The control tower is quite a distance from the terminal building. I thought there was going to be a support building for the tower to house offices and other equipment/personnel necessary for operations. Saw the taxiway which looks quite solid and thick, but couldn’t spot the runway. Unless i missed it! The ongoing terminal looks kinda small compared to the expansive foundation we saw a few months ago. Unless it’s actually the hanger they said Air Peace is going to have at the airport. The use of steel is more in keeping with how airplane hangers and maintenance structures are built. Also if that’s actually the terminal building, i hope the arrival hall is not restricted in height as -going by what we’re seeing- it seems the full length of the building is going to have floors. The arrival/check-in hall should be light, bright, airy and spacious! 6 Likes |

The airport project was inaugurated in April 2017, but there was kind of delays so the airport project was fully commenced on October 2019 after the final aerial survey on July 2019 Moferere: 9 Likes |

Rocksvibes234: Thank you Rocksvibes234. I know this facts. But when I said since 2017, was making it to appear like it was launched in 2019. That was my disagreement. Anyways, it is a mere disagreement, no fight. Happy weekend great guys! |
