Hi this is the OP of the thread with the same name. My account was suspended, as for some reason I can't reply on my original thread?! I just wanted to respond to everyone and say thanks for the posts and the insight,

- MzD@rkSkin It was not my intention to cause offense. The main purpose of my post was to find answers to the questions I listed at the end of it. I listed those experiences with a disclaimer saying I know it is not representative of our race (I have beautiful, strong, respectful and loving black men in my family, older brothers who treat me and their - black! -wives like gold), I just listed my experience. Incidentally, my WORST experiences on the dating scene were with a Brazilian guy and a Danish guy, but that was not relevant here. I mentioned the black guys to illustrate my experience of slim pickings. You'll find bad apples everywhere, race doesn't matter. I guess I was just trying to add context so you could have a good idea of my thought process. Also, I suppose it could be subconsiously a backlash to my mother, who, despite being supportive of me with her every breath, would ultimately feel some sense of disappointment if I didn't marry this elusive handsome Nigerian doctor she has in mind for me. I have told her my past experiences with black men, and she accuses me of not looking hard enough, as if you can 'chase' a man successfully, or re-route the preference of someone who prefers blondes. It was not my intention to 'knock' anyone, just stating facts and attempting to open a debate. Becuase I am used to speaking candidly about this with my mother, I just listed what I told her here, but I did not think that of course some people may take it as a slur. I did not mean to cause offense and rest assured, I don't think I am 'better' than anyone else for bagging an oyinbo, lol.

- amefi, gorgeous, thank you,

- Mrs.Chima, yeah I am of the mind that basically, a good man is a good man. , Inkie, black men will always have a special place in my heart too.
