Recently, onions prices surge in several parts of the country, a bag of onions is currently being sold between ₦50,000 to ₦75,000 in major cities in Nigeria. As usual, onions prices usually go up at this time of the year but the price has never been high to this level. Previous year, a bag of onions was between ₦20,000 to ₦40,000 towards the December period.
