Hello everyone ,good morning ,with upmost concern and worry,for the past one month with closeness to dealers ,I discovered that some local or small dealer buys a manual transmission car for cheap price ,convert it to automatic transmission to sell in millions ,this act is very common with the Corolla 2008 upwards to Yaris and many more .....

I am pained to say this ,bcus I hate to see one spend millions in this country today in buying an auto car ,only for it to be problematic.....when asked why such act ,the response was that it's a business strategy and that it won't go faster with it manual...


I am still not at peace with such conversion because I don't it's can be as perfect as the ones done from factory by the white ....


Pls beware before you by any car now,majority of them now buy manual and convert to auto ....

Am telling ,they know what majority wanted is automatic ,hence they buy the manual version of the car for like 700 to 800 ,spent like 150 to 200 on gear and installation and display the car for as noting as low as #1.7m upwards

I'm not disputing your claim, I mean Nigerians are consistently wicked but the figures can't be true. 150k to 200k cannot convert a manual car to automatic. There is a lot more to change than just gearbox. The most common one they do is change a car from right drive to left drive and that's very wicked on its own!

Back to the claim, can you at least give us a little info as to where this is being done so we can go and burn the place down!!! I beg you with the name of God.

What's the evil in converting either a "righty to a lefty" or a manual tranny to auto? Nothing! The wickedness is not doing it professionally and not disclosing the conversion to the end user.
