Sometimes, the truth can become too bitter that everyone rejects it. Yet, only truth can set us free. A Nairalander named SUFFERInSMILIIN says that the major problem with Nigeria is that we weren't trained enough by the British before we attained Independence. For her, that's why we have been messing things up since then. So, she suggests returning the country to colonial rule. She says that if the British people were still in-charge, Nigeria would have been better than Canada and Australia by now. The British ruled Nigeria from 1897 to 1960 ie 63 years uninterrupted, exporting cocoa, rubber, palm oil, groundnuts, tin, timber, iron ore, bauxite, copper, aluminium etc etc. worth TRILLIONS of dollars combined over a 63 year period. By 1960 at their departure: Number of universities in Nigeria : 0 Number of power plants in Nigeria : 0 Number of general hospitals in Nigeria: 0 Number of expressways in Nigeria: 0 Number of Flyovers in Nigeria: 0 Literacy rate of Nigeria 5% Infant mortality rate of Nigeria 300 per 1000 Malnutrition rate: Highest on earth Percentage of Nigerians in the middle class 1% By 1960 after 63 years of British rule, Nigeria was still an underdeveloped bush filled with dirt roads, naked children, and illiterate village peasants. Conclusion: a catalogue of failure caused by massive looting of Nigerian resources by colonialists. Anyone requesting a return of the colonialists to rule Nigeria, is an enemy of Nigeria. Rosskivvyy: Very good and I will answer some of your questions. Number one by 1960 where were most African countries in terms of development even countries like South Africa where were they in the 60s actually no way. The issue which I am trying to say when we got independence 20 years after independence we went to sleep and most African countries overtook us especially the countries which got independence in the 80s and 90s. Why do we were sleeping they were working hard to develop their country before independence. Today you look at Botswana you look at South Africa look at the Kenya look at Malawi look at Namibia look at Tanzania just see the amount of Nigeria refugees in this country and you will be shock. Most countries in 1960 in Africa 10 but the development started in most African countries by 1975. Nigerians need to understand the REASON why a white man will leave his country and travel thousands of miles to Africa to invade and colonise a country. It is to loot the resources of that country in order to enrich his own country. That is the VERY ESSENCE of colonialism. Do not assume that merely because a person is white skinned, that he will do good for you and your country. Everything is based on INTERESTS. It is not in the INTEREST of the whites to develop Nigeria or Africa. it s in their INTEREST to loot it for its resources in order to enrich their own societies. Stop asking for them to come back to loot more. Even if our own Nigerian leaders are corrupt, it does not mean that they steal 97% of the wealth like the colonialists did. They might steal 30% annually, and still leave 70% for developing the nation. That is why we see developments around the country today, even if it is not happening fast enough. Under colonialism there was virtually no development at all. So which is better? The answer is obvious. Please, Africans, Nigerians, use your brains. Stop asking for white people to come back and colonise you. Nobody can develop Nigeria or Africa except AFRICANS. Thank you. |

At least if they steal your resources you will have health care you will have electricity you will have water you shall have insurance today what do you have poverty and illiteracy. Rosskivvyy: I agree with you very much but what I am saying is the problem started from Independence it is better they look our country and do something for us like South Africa or other African countries including. At least we we have 24 hour electricity at least we will have good hospitals at least we shall have top-class universities. At least we shall have Healthcare. Today do you know the amount of Nigerians which travel to other African countries to school Ghana and South Africa alone the amount of Nigerian swissgolden is more money than the whole Nigerian educational budget. Amount of Nigerians which travel to Ghana and South Africa for health care is more money than all the hospitals in Nigeria put together. I am not saying the white man with not steal from you they will but at least they will do something for you. Look at our current Nigerian politician they do nothing for us we are lost in the world in everything as it is our last in the world in everything poverty is rampant illiteracy is skyrocketing no job no employment nothing only thing they do is Take the Money and put abroad. When did come and steal and minerals at least they will give us jobs at least they will hire Nigerian truck driver at least they will do everything they will build a railway system they will build our infrastructure. If you look at most of Britain and American gold it was gotting when most African countries were independent. Independent accelerated the duties of Africa. I'll give you a good example 76% of Britain's gold was caught in after 1992 when most countries in the world why independence except for South Africa. 81% of Americans gold was gotten from 1995 awkward why did most African countries were independent. The amount of money which Africa has been made after independence is 100 times more than before independence. 1-seed in Africa which future Dad what did Africa which build China was it in Africa which build Malaysia was it incorrect Africa which is building Saudi Arabia with over 300 billion US dollar of Nigeria is having money in Saudi Arabia was it in Africa which built India today. Anybody with more ideas I am ready to answer them. One thing about with Nigerians with not want to hear the truth will rather do the wrong thing and tell yourself it is correct. If the white people was so evil why are people killing themselves on the ocean in the desert to run to the white man's country. Even our people when you want to deport them from the white man's country they throw themselves from 6 to 7 Storey buildings or throw themselves in front of cars because they don't want to come back home. ProT: Today Nigeria has been looted 10 times faster done before independence. It was so bad why are Nigerians running out of the country why is Nigeria number one country in our capital flight why is Nigeria number one country in poverty. This is what you need us do not want you to know. Has been dictated small change the run and put it in another country. Without doing anything for their citizens. As long as we are on this current route Nigeria cannot develop. Instead of the high levels of poverty high levels of underdevelopment high levels of joblessness high levels of Hunger I I am giving Nigerians a golden opportunity to retain that to British rule immediately because in another 10 years they might be no country called Nigerian and all of us will be refugees in other African countries. ProT: Sometimes you have to close your 2 eyes to the lesser of the 2 evils you cannot Always Get What You Want. At least the British Will Steal some of the money and plowed some back into the country we use a certain percentage of the money to reply into Nigeria. Look at countries like Australia New Zealand even today Rwanda Angola and Mozambique which Nigerians are running to this countrys. If he's still 50% and they put 50% back into the country for development it is much better than the current set of leaders which we have which will still 100% and put zero into the country to make matters worse they start borrowing more money. At the moment which one will you choose to be a Slave to the British Empire or the current way which way are heading to Saudi Arabia if you are a Slave to the British Empire you will have more rights than if you are a Slave to the fulani caliphate which is linked to Saudi Arabia. Just have to close your eyes at this time because the real truth is the country is going to be sold and we are going to be sold. You have to choose do you want to be sold to Saudi Arabia or do you want to be sold to Britain.
