NwekeUG:
Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has questioned the "suitability and competences" of coach Gernot Rohr after Super Eagles' back-to-back draws against Sierra Leone in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, IgbereTV reports.

Dare made this known on Twitter and threatened that the 'needful will be done' following the performance of the Super Eagles from their last two matches.

Recall Nigeria threw away a four-goal lead to draw 4-4 with Sierra Leone in their first-leg clash at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State last Friday, November 13th.

In the second-leg which took place on Tuesday, November 17th at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown, the game ended in 0 - 0.

The Minister stated in his tweet that 'Nigerian football deserves better' and also tendered an apology to 'football lovers' over the Super Eagles' recent performances.

He wrote,

If it was a two-legged affair, Sierra Leone would have knocked out Nigeria on away goals rule.

But the minister lacks the power to sack the coach. Only the NFF that appointed him can sack him.
But he can greatly influence his sack wella , nff answers to him

We should always strive to have the best of what we can afford. The Rohr experiment is not productive and farm from being successful. Bench marked against Otto Gloria and Clemens Westerhof it is just not good enough. He should be let go but should complete the qualifiers. I cannot see this team beating the likes of Senegal and Algeria. Nigeria are traditional medalists on the continent. These days we are barely hanging on. There are better materials out there in Europe.

Must we go to Europe?

It was idiotic in the first place to hire a white man to coach a team of Africans. Colonial mentality. Tueh!!

The evidence is 2 cups for expats and 1 for indigenous talent, so... it is a balance between 'to build' and 'for sale'. You will never find a consensus on this in Nigeria without a 'National Philosphy'.

Oh, really?
I don't know why it took this long to keep coach Rohr on the job. I bet you if coach Rohr was a Nigerian, he would have long been fired.

I keep on looking for something to make me to be proud of Nigeria, but sorry to say, I can't find it.

Break Nigeria up!

Not by the raw data. And we have employed most of the biggest names in Nigerian soccer at various times over the years, ex internationals, soccer administrators, top club gaffers, the whole lot from veterans like Disu, Onigbinde and the late Amoudu to greenhorns like Amokachi and Oliseh, Only Keshi was able to bring the Cup home.

Though the half dozen foreigner managers have had equally mixed results they still hold 66 percent success.

It's about time they sacked that coach. He's just not a coach with a winning mentality.
Also better to use indigenous coach...
At least the money will be circulating in the country and among family and friends. This foreign coaches won't invest a Kobo in Nigeria.

NFF should shine their eyes. Unless they are using him to milk the country.

If those new players tell you how much they pay or deals they sign for slots, and even many are on the queue, you go shout!!!

Keshi was different during his time, you don't need to bribe him. The only bribe he takes is your performance on your trial. Once impressive, you are in! (Apart from the established players then)

Someone foresaw this.

Till date, Rohr hasn't been able to get us a good team. Just de pack half casts full pitch.
NFF dey use am..
Or both are using each other. They are all cashing out.

But sometimes we win with the tram they assemble. So it is trial and error, same thing with the leadership of the country.

He has no power or authority to sack a national coach. It is only NFF that can do that, and if they do, they should be ready to pay him 1millon dollars compensation stated in his contract.

LAW IS VERY POWERFUL.

see how the coach use it to hold Nigeria on the jaw.
