INTERCEDE FOR IMO, OHAKIM URGED PFN

The Governor of Imo state, [b]Chief Ikedi Ohakim [/b]has urged the
Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria [PFN], Imo state Chapter to always
intercede prayerfully for the state.

He said this when members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria
[PFN] Imo chapter led by the state President, Bishop Maxwell Korie
paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Owerri.

Governor Ohakim described the current political situation in the state
as one where darkness is fighting to suppress light and misguided
people celebrating miscreants who do not have the welfare of Imo and
its people at heart; adding that only prayers can stop the “ofekes’
from plunging the state into darkness for a period of 50 years.

He noted that their prayers in 2007 helped in bringing about the much
rated revolution that is in place in Imo state today occasioned by his
government, and urged them to repeat the feat as well add value to his
re-emergence as governor come May 2011.

Earlier, the leader of the group, Bishop Maxwell Korie has thank the
governor for granting about 80% of the request PFN, Imo chapter made
in the past; adding that no governor had been favourably disposed to
PFN, since the creation of Imo state.

He also noted that the Pentecostals bloc constitutes a greater number
among the 5 blocs and prayed that they should be remembered in the
scheme of things.

The highlights of the visit was fervent prayers and supplication made
to God for the Governor for his re-election for second term.
