Islie: The Enemy are using suffisticated Weapons you are talking about a spiritual warfare. Does that even make any sence? If this government intend to flush out Boko Haram in a week. it's something they can do. but politics and Religion won't let them. |

KwaraRat: Not sure you read the post. The seminar is not for prayers but for scholars to come up with superior arguments against the logic behind the belief system of the terrorists. |

WoundedLamb: U are mentioning what God approves or doesn't approve & we are talking of a country that doesn't even believe in God or his existence. What has d prosperity of Canada as a nation got to do with what God approves or doesn't approve about casting d first stone? |

Hahahahaha.....seriously...military chaplains want a part of the action and perhaps the perks. They are tired of performing funeral rites.... Qatari dollars ringing.... Anyway it was a serious suggestion I gave a long while back as an important tool in beating this insurgency. We should realise that ideological driven militancy is almost impossible to defeat by force of arms. The Vietnam war was one. The wars in parts of Iraq and Afghanistan is another. They have no military solutions. To defeat a radically indoctrinated group you have to weaken its backbone, adulterate its fuel and its engine grounds to a halt with time. If this is what they intend to do, it is welcome and shows they are giving this war some serious thought. However, this should not be the role of the military. Programs such as these and other deradicalization, soft power initiatives are purely the responsibility of the civilian administration. And I will be lying if I say I am not disappointed with the total absence of civil input in this war at all levels, local, state and Federal, civic, traditional, religious leadership, Executives, Representatives, are all conspicous by their absence. Everyone needs to come together to work on a deradicalization, counter ideology strategy to snatch the narrative from Boko and ISWAP. It will end this thing quicker. |

SilverNorGold:The main problem is the conspiracy and crime against the igbos. If that is not as addressed or solved, then forget Nigeria You people can continue to play the ostrich. When you are tired, you will do the right thing. You think that the blood of people especially children in the asaba massacre and others are not crying to God. Don’t forget that SE is the bedrock of Christianity in Nigeria. The jihadist didn't penetrate us. Go and ask the Egyptians how God dealt with them because of the Israelites Since we are now going spiritual. Let's right our wrongs |

A one day seminar on spiritual warfare organized by the Nigerian army has opened in Abuja with a call on army clerics to come up with stronger ideologies to counter the religious beliefs of terrorists groups ravaging the peace of the country. You mean they should come up with "new stories" to brainwash their followers... Bunch of jokers... Failed state... Stupid fvcks.. |

lexy2014: My response was to your question why a country that approves homosexuality would prosper. As for the not believing in God, that's not entirely true. There are many atheist and agnocists in Canada but it would be overreaching to call the entire country "a country that does not believe in God". It's like calling Nigeria a country of criminals. Canada is extremely diverse. In fact, Toronto is the most diverse city in the world. Just like the US, Canadian people are from different backgrounds and many still retain their cultures and religious beliefs. There are churches, synagogues, mosques, etc. maybe not as much as there are in Nigeria but just enough for the people. Canadian oaths still call on God. It's just a secular country in the sense that people are allowed to practice any non harmful religion while no particular religion's belief system influences national polices or laws. |
