Most adults grow up watching movies where women are portrayed as princesses and men as their knights in shining armor conquering war after war. But no one actually teaches us the things we need to do to have our “happily ever after” in any part of the world we decide to call our home.

6. Discuss with your partner on building more closeness by practicing empathy.
7. Know that emotional damage can wreck relationships.
8. Support each other’s hopes and dreams.
9. See if you can each share what you need most.
10. Give your relationship the best attention.
11. Have a shared relationship goal and find a way to achieve them together.
12. Create rituals/moments in your relationship.
13. Help each other in any little way.
14. Don’t take things too seriously.
15. Equate your partner’s needs with yours.
