I won't blame the govt but Nigerians msses that will go and patronize the stupid train. If all unite not to enter it until when govt listen to us they won't try it. As for me I will never enter the train until when Nigeria govt give us a reasonable price because I don't have money to waste on this fraud call govt.

Rail travel is supposed to be the cheapest considering the number of people a train can convey at a trip. If it now cost more to travel by rail compared to road travels, I guess they're gonna experience low patronage unless there's gridlock on the Lagos -Ibadan highway

Yes.... This develish and satanic regime is counting on grid lock and their dilapidated roads to gain customers.. what a shame.

Trust Nigerian politicians to create kidnapping activities along that route to make sure everyone uses the train. That's the situation in kaduna-Abuja. Yes your leaders are that heartless.

I am surprised at the above high charges, which are patterned after the Abuja-Kaduna rail line fares.
Travel time from Abuja to Kaduna is about 3 hours by road, while from Lagos to Ibadan should not be more than 1 hour 15 minutes, on a good day.
The above difference in time means that the rail trip from Lagos-Ibadan ought to be cheaper.
I wonder what others think about this.

depending on where you are leaving from, abuja to kaduna by road isn't up to 2hours ruling out traffic hold ups.

He said they just transferred the price..... never mind its twice the distance/time travel. Whether ten or ten thousand people ride doesn't matter. Looking at the train.... no provision to minimize damage in accidents.... which are highly likely to happen. These people say and do what they want because there are no consequences. With the #ENDSARS protests and attacks on politicians... they were all very silent.... they knew why. Now here they go again. They need to be targeted.

Something is significantly wrong with their operations... If they expect people to pay 3-6k for a train ride which should be significantly cheaper, then they are mistaken.

Maybe they should change the locomotives if the cost of running it is too expensive. They can send a team of Urban planners and engineers to Europe to learn how it works cheaply over there... This doesn't make any sense.

The huge loans collected by the government need to be paid back! They want to milk the citizens with high fares so as to pay back those loans.
