USA Or Australia: Please I Need Advice by xcelpro: 11:37pm On Dec 07, 2020 |
Good day nairalanders! Please I need your candid advice. Let me start from here. I’m 24 and currently a 300l law studnt of a fed uni with over 3.5cgpa present. I have lost interest to practice after graduation due to d prolong ASUU strike and d realisation dat d system mostly favour the rich in 9ja as people from humble background like me only get little or nothing. Survival in school has been possible by God’s grace alone and my resilience to endure hunger and hardship just to obtain a degree. (N/B: Dad is late and mum is aged). After highschool i did menial jobs for sometime before pickin form for uni. I regretted not learning a skill after highschool becus I had two options of either learning *handwork* and never goin to uni or doing menial jobs and pickin jamb form, of which I did. (N/B: My guardian was strict/surviving on meagre income and I was scared to pick option 1 becus I wanted to be educated). NOW, as a result of my long stay at home I have totally lost interest in 9ja and the system here (What is 70billion that fed govt cannot give at once to ASUU for the sake of d future of d young ones....mtcheww) I have thought of leaving this country for good after my graduation, and my options are either USA or Australia. So please I need advice from enlightened minds here on the following areas; 1. Can I use my LL.B (Bachelor degree in Law) to get a masters scholarship in Economics or anything related to corporate finance in US or Australia, if yes, please what steps do I need to take? 2. I plan of going for computer training as I have never done any of such before, i only have a knowledge of basic computer skills. (Please what can you suggest or recommend? I intend to use the skill as a side hustle if option 1 work out or if I eventually travel out). 3. Is there any other legit way I can make this work out apart from going through scholarship? (N/B: Saving money to travel out will be an uphill task for me becus am from humble background). Thank you. |

Truth is you don't qualify for any of them. Education and money wise. |

xcelpro:not a graduate, not with fantastic GP per say. Cut your coat according to your size. You cant afford usa or Australia. Scholarship self is competitive for those with high gp |
