Immigration officers have arrested two foreigners who attempted to take the recruitment examination for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the service said on Monday, Igbere TV reports.

About 191,000 candidates sat for the exams into NIS and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) conducted nationwide by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Technical Assistant to the Minister of Interior in a tweet said the two arrested foreigners are Camerounian and Beninese.

“@nigimmigration officers intercept two non-Nigerians who attempted to participate in today’s CbAT for recruitment into the Service.

“They are Camerounian and Beninore citizens. They have been interrogated, profiled, and referred to ACG zone A for further action,” it said.

Secretary of the civil defence, correctional, fire and immigration services board Yakmut Saleh witnessed the computer-based examination.

According to him, the examination which took place simultaneously in 126 centres in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja was conducted by JAMB to ensure transparency and avoid rancour and confusion that trailed a similar exercise a few years ago.

I hope Niger and Chad citizens weren't allowed as well.

When I always say God created Nigeria to entertain other countries as a source of comedy I knew I wasn't mistaken.
Nigerians over rate this nation, so much that they imagine countries would send "Assets" to destroy their nation. Why would any country commission "Assets" to Nigeria, when they can bribe people in government to get their deeds done?

If you have no idea, how espionage works then you should speak less about it. Countries marred with corruption ( mainly developing countries and third world nations) don't need COs to monitor it, all that is needed is an "Agent of Influence" like a top person in the government and they can achieve their aim without stress.

This is the end result of result of porous borders and letting in undocumented immigrants into your country.

Clowns, when I saw the headline, I immediately knew it would be any other West African countries but NEVER Niger or Chad! There are so many Nigeriens who illegally migrated to Nigeria and have taken up government jobs while impersonating Northern Nigeria. They are mostly fulani or Hausa so the federal government turned a blind eye based on ethnic consideration.

They arrested a Camerounian and a Benonise and gave it publicity while ignoring those from Niger who are actually many. Rubbish!!

The most important thing is for them to have passed through the proper and legal immigration channel, have the correct documentations, paying their taxes and obeying the laws.
