Why are our user's profiles full of fake photos, Why do we have to put cartoon or animated pictures in our profiles, doesn't that seem a disregard or an abuse?
Well, no offense to those of us who have such pictures in their profiles, but yet, i suppose it's more appropriate to either put your real photos or you leave it blank: and i'd suggest some reasonable measures of control.
  When i was in Latvia, i was a member of www.frype.com, it's not allowed to put a photo that doesn't clearly show your face how much more to up-load a cartoon one.
  Please, i don't intend to offend anyone, so, don't take it personal, i'm only suggesting; afterall, it's good to have idea of people you correspond with: and that would make things a bit difficult for those with multiple usernames. What do you suggest: Are you in support of this suggestions or against it?
  Honest opinions please!

exactly. . . I once had my pixs in my profile for sometime and i got threatened by a member who insisted he must be my YIM friend and friend for life. . . he kept sending me threat mails and dat wasnt exciting to me so i hacked it off. Therez a site im in and ive got alot of pics there. . datz becos no one can save dem on their desktop. Once Seun can do sth like dat, then i'l put mine back again.

Ive also uploaded my pixs for some members who requested for it before but i always remove it after some minutes. . im not in d mood for a repeat session of threats!

That's the same reason why my real pic isn't up. I don't want anyone saving my pic up and down. I'd rather have a fake, caricature of myself.

Anyway, reasons abound why people dont keep their pix as enumerated + the fact one can equally impersonate u with ur pix. its all for safety reasons

Abeg my pic dey profile jare. I switch pictures every week so people see different versions of me. I also prefer to put my ugly pictures rather than the finest so people can see me at my very worst.

By the way I suspended smoking since April so y'all don't think I'm some chain smoker. Neither am I trying to quit.

Well, I wont be putting my pic until there's some privacy stuff on this site. Not saying my pic is ''worth saving on others' PC's' or anything. . . . but . . . . .you never know.

Okay, I'll leave it for one week extra before changing it.

I don't mind what anybody wants to do with my pictures na all those kind things go even make me superstar.

I don't think it's fair to say real photo or nothing. Some people don't want to put up real pictures and don't want people to know what they look like. So whatever they put up can be an expression of themselves. . .whether it is a picture that is real, or a cartoon. . .or their own slightly edited picture

If it's not a real photo, then they can go form a thread that says post fake photos or nothing.
