When we talk about true love, we mean the kind of love that is unconditional. The kind of love that looks beyond a person's flaw(s), age and/or religion. The kind of love that transcends human understanding. Such is the love that Isa Suleiman and Janine Sanchez share.

Do you remember 26-year-old Isa Suleiman who fell in love with 46-year-old American, Janine Sanchez after they met on Instagram last year? Well, the lovers are set to wed in Kano on Sunday, 13 December 2020.
Earlier in the year, Janine took the risk of travelling from her home country, America to Panshekara in Kano State, Nigeria to meet her lover, Isa. She did not bother about the difference in age or religion or race. Unconfirmed reports have it that Janine took care of her flight tickets and other expenses for that trip. Such sacrifice! Such is the kind of love we call true love.

Of course, we cannot talk about true love in a relationship if it is one-sided.

Isa, on his part, may have made sacrifices in his relationship with Janine which have remained private, but time and again, we read from his Facebook posts about how his life has turned around for better since he met Janine, and also how he misses her when they are apart. He does not shy away from professing his love and feelings for his lover on social media.

Often, we hear that age is just number, but may not fully understand the phrase. Isa and Janine are young people who are ready to commit themselves to love each other irrespective of their flaws, size, age, race or religion, and that should be enough proof that true love is beyond human attributes.
