ludd2018: Bro, I get your point, I'm from SS but I don't like the fact that Igbos are being killed by those stupid soldiers. Kanu did well, but he should try avoiding the deaths of these heros. What I'm saying is that he (Kanu) should have a clear plan & stop letting people fall like this. It's well bro, hope Kanu, SE & Biafra finds victory. |

gidgiddy: The leaders of South talk about joint interests and I don't think something like this would not already be known to them. The issue that divides nigeria is one - culture. Nothing else. Culture is the way we are different from others. Culture is tied to nativity, it is tied to indigenity, it is tied to aborigenity, it is tied to nature. Culture is tied to the soil, and hence it is also tied to DNA. When people of different cultures or natives share one country they are identified as citizens of the country. It is correct to call all of us citizens of nigeria but wrong to call anybody a nationality of nigeria. Nigeria does not fit to be called a nation because it has no natives. It is a mere political existence. The rules and guidebook of a culture is its customs and traditions. The rules and guidebook of a political existence is constitution. The indigeneous people of Yoruba, of Igbo, of Edo, of Ijaw, Efik, Urhobo, Idoma, Tiv, Jukun, Nupe, Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri and so on should have their indigeneous customs and traditions as their code of public exchange. The constitution should only come into play when the indivodual nations need to talk to the center. The fulani observe this very well, without conflict. They operate two rules in their life. One is their attachment to the islamic culture as their way of life and tradition. The other is the distant but suspicious regard for the vonstitution. The people of south on the other hand treat their indigeneous customs and traditions with suspicion and regard it as archaic and obsolete and it is somewhat seen as a shameful practice to identify with. Southerners see constitution as a modern document that we must apply to our lives everywhere and anytime. To the point when a king in south has trouble with his subjects he will go to civil court to seek constitutional defense. Our people want to do everything by the constitutional rulebook and this has turned out a handicap because the competition in north has zero respect for constitution. Their quran remains their rulebook. This is the problem. So the question before us is, do we want to continue to abandon our native customs and embrace this constitution that is anti-indigeneity going forward? If the answer is yes, then we should stop disturbing arewa about redoing the constitution to restructure and practice federalism, because honestly arewa does not practice the constitutional rulebook and therefore do not feel constrained to maintain status quo. Beside, they are not holding us back from practicing our indigeneous customs. We have abhorence to our own ancestry and hate our own customs and traditions to the point we are ashamed to be associated with them. This is no fault of arewa. It is fault of western education. It is correctible. We must revive and bring our customs and traditions as the rulebook and guide of principles for the indivodual ethnicity. Can we do it? This is the challenge we have. Can a Phd holder in south afford to submit to the custom and tradition of his land, the way Phd holders in north submit to the creed of sharia? There is so much to talk about on this point and i dont want to overtalk here. |

Miracle1991: If Ipob is terrorist then give them same treatment you give other terrorists. Give them their own amnesty like you do repentant bokoharam, repentant bandits. Pay them. The Igbos in Obigbo are repented. Go pay them. |
