In the video below, the wife of late Mr Ndu Sunday Ogidika narrated how the Nigerian Army murdered her husband in Obigbo, Rivers State. Choosing to speak in Igbo, she said that her husband went out on that fateful day and was accosted on road by a Hilux van full of Soldiers. Her husband ran into a nearby church pursued by Soldiers who dragged him out and proceeded to stab him with daggers, on different parts of his body including his back and chest. She said that her husband kept shouting 'what have I done!' and the Soldiers said he was one of those who had 'medicine' that the prevented bullet penetration, hence why they are using daggers. The Soldiers loaded him into their Hilux van and moved but after a short distance, their commander ordered that they stop let him out. He returned home bloodied from the beatings and stabbings he recieved from the Soldiers and eventually gave up ghost as a result of his injuries. Late Mr Ogidika leaves behind a wife and four sons, they are of the Jewish faith. Obigbo in Rivers state has been under siege by the Nigerian Army in recent weeks with organisations such Amnesty International reporting widespread military brutality and killings. Unconfirmed reports have it that over a hundred people may have been killed.
