Outrage As Gbadamosi Calls For "Xenophobic Attacks" On Ugandans In Nigeria by Abdulazeez99: 4:08pm On Dec 15, 2020 |
A tweet on Tuesday by a former Lagos governorship and senatorial candidate Babatunde Gbadamosi appearing to encourage xenophobic attacks on Ugandans in Nigeria has generated controversy online, Igbere TV reports. “Are there any Ugandans roaming free in Nigeria right now? If so, why?” Mr Gbadamosi wrote. https://twitter.com/BOGbadamosi/status/1338741404202397697?s=20 His tweet followed the arrest and detention of Nigerian musicians – Omah Lay, Tems and another Nigerian Muyiwa Awomiyi – by Ugandan authorities. They are being accused of flouting COVID-19 rules following their participation in a concert. Many have been knocked Gbadamosi for the statement, urging him to delete the tweet. But the former governorship candidate said he was only calling for reciprocity, adding that it is allowed in international relations. See reactions below: 6 Likes 2 Shares

This guy should never hold public office and need psychiatric treatment. Was that the best as a leader he could spew. Very uncalled for. 220 Likes 15 Shares |

Mumu, tens of your children are being held captive by someone then you sent boys to attack two of his children within your reach while stupidly hoping that all your children will be released unhurt, you must be the dreamer of your family. 63 Likes 5 Shares |

helinues: Bros I asked you a serious question. Alot of your comments lack intelligence, and most of the grammatical mistakes you make are laughable so it makes one wonder. I have never read any comment from you that provoked deep thought .. your comments come off as if one who was never exposed to the four walls of a university wrote them . They are simple at best This is what led me to ask if you are a graduate. Apologies if my question seems rather forward. If trully you aren't a graduate as I suspect pls try and maybe talk less so you can make valid points whenever you do , read comments by members like omenka , tonye, sarrki, etc These are eloquent well spoken intelligent nairalanders I don't agree with their politicial stance but those gentlemen are sound and intelligent They are pro buhari but they don't sound like thugs , they don't banter tribalism Pls learn from them 161 Likes 8 Shares |

To me the man his just too emotional about the whole thing. No hard feelings. Mumu people attacking the man, had been its a White man calling for the sanction of Ugandans they will be singing his/her praises i.e America don't joke with their citizen, British government will never take it from any country but quick to condemn their own person. I stand with Gbadamosi on this. 126 Likes 6 Shares |

Useless politicians. No wonder tribalism reigns supreme in their country. To them Nigerian foolishness of favouritism must exist everywhere. What makes Omah Lay and Tems special to defy simple protocols or rules. Reason why expatriates behave the way they like in Nigeria. 12 Likes |
