Travelling for pleasure especially "tourism" is becoming a major sector that virtually all nations of the Earth are presently looking up to when it comes to economic development these days. Nigeria is not an exception, but truly, we need to get it right. Our interview with some Nigerians reveals the state of Tourism in Nigeria. Tourist destinations should be managed by private investors or PPP. We also need to fix insecurity issues cause no tourist will visit where he/she will be kidnapped. 2 Likes |

There is no basic infrastructure like good roads, security, light. The tourist castle in the north didn't kidnappers go there last year. Abeg we are not ready |

Private investors should take over the sector. Our government sees nothing past oil exploration and export. In Obudu Cattle Ranch and Tinapa located in Cross Rivers, the landmarks coupled with their daily operations are maintained by employed unpaid workers who see potential in the destinations. Left to the appointed authorities, those locations would have folded long ago. |

We don't even have security, no tourist will want to come to an unsafe place, tourism is dead in Nigeria |
