Every exchange is independent. If I take profit from one while the other exchange is close to liquidation, I add extra money then hedge or close it if the money from the other exchange can cover up my loss with profit.

Hedging is simple. It's when you're trading both long and short of the same coin at the same time so that whatever you lose in long, you make it back in short and vice versa.

It's a way to stop both winning and losing and stay stagnant until you understand the best direction the market will take.

so there will be no gain in hedging?

The bull run has been on for long since 2022…. but it’s getting weak now!
We are closing in on the bears

What u have been seeing since 2022 that u claimed the bull run has been on since is simply called 'Retracement'

Saying we are closing in on bears at this time when we have been in the "Bear market" all this while shows that u are a dunce and a total novice to the market u claim u are an expert of.

Hedging is only for protection, not for profit. It only gives profit when the winning side is a little higher than the losing side. In fact, just see it as financial protection until the storm is over.

Chairman, please, reduce the volume. This will lead to violence. Thank God I skip most of the violence except my name is mentioned. Thank you.

The same 2022 that was for the bear market is what one ITK is calling a bull run.. obviously he is not even aware of what is happening on the crypto market at that time yet they will be forming " i know it all "

$PEON mcap was around 100k yesterday morning.

I would have been 600% up by now if I wasn't a reckless profit taker. cry

It's easily attainable if CZ, Elon and Blackrock look at it. In fact, BR alone can handle it.

Turn off your phone, go to bed and you might be shocked to see it at 72k or even 80k when you wake.

That's just how crazy BTC can be when billionaire shorter gangs and another billionaire gangs fighting for liquidation supremacy.

I do hedging too but i do it on one exchange as i am not too big on trading capital, just got $40.

So for example, I'm currently on $Ordi and i predicted market with go down but took from the expected profit and hedged in the long.

So if 8$ becomes 16$ and $4 is liquidated, i have 4$ total profit.
What i was asking is from your own experience, at what point do you close the loosing position since from the chart, $Ordi is tending up?

First things first, don't use isolated margin when hedging. If you had used cross margin, you won't have this problem you are trying to solve.

Secondly, since you have just 2 trades and started both at almost the same price, you can enable that Auto Margin Addition to turn this to a pseudo cross margin so that profits from the long can buffer the short.

Thirdly, you can close the long at market top if you know where that is and wait for dump to close the short. Could be daily or weekly resistance to close long.

You can also close both in the middle and start afresh in cross margin mode.

When hedging, it's better to start longs at support, shorts at resistance, use cross margin and make sure that shorts are not as big as longs.

Since your short is bigger than your long, try and close at least half of it as soon as you get a good opportunity to avoid stories that touch.

To your main question, you need to know how to calculate and place stop loss (using ATR, R:R, etc) as this will enable you close the losing side on time and allow the winning side run.

More info on YouTube and Google.

PS: Avoid martingale for now. You need deep pockets for that.
