justwise: Do I qualify for NSE if the current balance in my account wasn’t up to 30,000 2-4months ago, but was more than 30k CAD 6months ago, and currently more than 30k within the past one month? 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by zellfoxx: 7:11pm On Feb 15, 2021 |
Bjayjay1100: I think we misunderstand this 30k mentioned for the NSE. From my little understanding, the requirement states "Have MyBank certificate showing sufficient funds (equivalent of 30k) for studies for at least six months PLUS 12 months of banking history". From my little observations, they request for at least 10k CAD per year as LE (with the assumption that avearge tuition is 20k per year), so six months worth is 15k CAD. I believe if you have even just 15k CAD and sufficient proof of the source of subsequent funds, your POF from NSE should fly. I couldn't find any authoritative source where it was mentioned that 30k CAD must be in the account at the time of application. Just my 2 cents sha, I might be totally wrong. Edit: I read earlier on this thread someguy submitted a MyBankCert with balance of 3.6M with tuition payment receipts and his application was still approved. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Please can I use a conditional letter of acceptance to apply for my study permit? The condition on my LOA is that I submit my official documents from my former post secondary school. I have already applied for it but they've not sent it yet. What can I do? |

Good day everyone I just bumped into this thread and I have few questions to ask . Firstly will my age (28) be a factor to be denied a student visa from Canada especially to the fact I’m going in for my first degree ? Secondly I came across an institution called University of Manitoba. How true is it that I don’t need to write IELTS and I can also pay my fees until I get there? Thirdly if question one will be a problem for denial. What’s the solution if there is one |

Hello everyone. Is application deadlines to schools applicable to submission of references by applicant's referees? I applied to UNBC and their deadline is 15th of February while I submitted my application on 14th. My referees are yet to send their references and I have seen nothing about the deadline for it on their page. So, is application deadline applicable to submission of references? |

Ara2004: Congratulations on your admission to such a prestigious university. Feel free to ask any question you have concerning the study permit application process. In addition to what others have already said concerning your questions, I just want to emphasize the fact that a police clearance certificate is not needed for a study permit application. If you want to go ahead and get one, that's a personal choice but Canada doesn't need one from Nigerians. As for proof of funds, please attach a statement of account with at least N1,000,000 or get someone to gift you that amount or more and then explain in your SOP that the money will take care of travel costs and other miscellaneous expenses. Do well to establish strong home ties and show personal assets or job prospects. Canadian VOs do not make exceptions for anyone, even if you have all the funding in the world. Do your best to submit a tight application and rest assured that it'll be approved with ease. 1 Like 1 Share |

feclela: Currently Conestoga college is handling just May apps because of the high volume of applicants they have. September will be open soon. Also for tuition deposits, thats the only school that offers that amount and is still refundable |
