Hello everyone, I got a mail from the embassy after my submission that I should take IELTS for NSE and was given three weeks deadline to do so. I’ve done the exam but didn’t make 6.0 in one of the skills. Please, what’s the implication to this? How is it going to affect me as I am so frightened right now?

In which of the band? And what was the score on that band? 5.5 or less? There have been people who got approval with 5.5 in one band or another.

Godspeed ahead.

Not necessary to go with sponsor bank statement. If you've paid tuition, go along with you a copy of the tuition receipts for the term.

Gurus in the house, is it possible to Submit these documents alone for landed properties: Survey Plan, Stamped payment receipt from owner to buyer, Deed of assignment tho it doesn't have the Governors signature on it, your response would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning. Please can you submit the bank statement of your sponsor to show both the tuition and living expenses or one must be from the students account?
Also would transferring huge amount of money to the student account within that short time to show statement of 4 months cause a red flag?

If you're being sponsored by someone, you need to provide the person's bank statement to prove financial sufficiency for your intended program in Canada. On the account that the money you're talking about here was from the sponsor of the applicant, is not a red flag. The sponsor should state in his/her sponsorship letter that s/he has transfered this amount into your account to prove financial support and funds accessibility.

The documents are acceptable and recognised by the immigration authorities of CANADA as evidence for land ownership. Governor space in most landed property documents are left blank.

Nothing else is required of you after sending the updated LOA to IRCC via webform. You should keep an eye on your application for future correspondence/instructions from the immigration.

Good morning all.

Please just need clarification. What my company gave me is recommendation letter but I kept seeing letter of introduction from company. Please are the different or can recommendation letter serve same purpose?

Thanks

They all serve same purpose with different names based on individual preferences.

1. Reference letter,
2. Letter of recommendation and
3. Letter of introduction are the same thing.

You should make sure that your recommendation letter covers important clauses like your job title, salary renumeration, employment start date and your responsibilities in that capacity.

GIC is not available for Nigerians or is there any other means to go about this ??

Hello RoyalDukeDon,

I understand that GIC isn't available for Nigeria with Scotia Bank. I am not so sure of CIBC, but I think early in the year, two people here confirmed that CIBC accepts GIC for Nigerian students and another person verified it. Why not reach out to CIBC by sending an email.

They sent this to me not long

Hello Yce101,

It could take up to 30 days, or in other situation, the withdrawal could take effect on the day the request was opened.

You may get a refund if your application hasn't been opened for processing.

Hello everyone , although I’m new here .
Please My questions are
- will I get the student visa even though my undergraduate and present work is not related to my masters program ?
- if I get masters admission this March , can I still apply for study permit to start classes in sept 2021?

Thanks

Hello Ifeomaindigo,

A career switch isn't best when it involves immigration, but this doesn't mean that the visa would be rejected.

It is now up to the applicant to ensure that this doesn't happen by coming up with good reaons and evidence that the switch is merited; to help you develop or grow in the found new career interest.

Yes, you can apply, in fact now is this best time. This is clearly evident to all eyes.

Best of Luck

Hello Gurus in the house. I have gained admission and applying very soon. The problem is my brother applied since October and hasn't gotten any response and I intend to use same statement of account because he has moved on with his business. Now wont it raise eyes brows if I use that same account he used since is own application is still with them. Or I can use the same account for my statement and it won't affect decisions. He used Dad's statement.

Frankrobbn1:

To overcome the visa officer's concern on the refusal reason "Personal Assets and Financial Status", you need to show adequate documents to prove that you're well-established in Nigeria and that your proposed program is a reasonable expense. In so doing, provide your personal bank statement (no matter the amount in the account), evidence of a property in your name or a registered business. If properly explained in the LOE, these documents would clear every grey areas relating to your establishment in your home country, Nigeria

Thank you very much for this. But in reality, I have no land to my name and little money in the bank. I'm a freelancer. And sometimes I go to my dad's office to help him in his business. (He has a manufacturering firm) I want to say I volunteer at my dad's firm and he will be the one sponsoring my entire expenses. He has a lot of assets I can show, but I have none. In this my situation, how do I construct a good SOP for avoid the "Personal asset and Financial status" issue, considering the fact that I have none? I just need an idea of how the SOP would look in my case.

Hello guys, my sister got a visa denial this week. But that is not the main issue, cos she was not really interested in it anymore(other plans came up) the issue now is that one of the reason given in her denial was that they are not satisfied that she will leave Canada cos of her family tie in Canada and her home country (Nigeria). What do they mean by family tie in Canada because she never said she had any family in canada.

Hello Futureukstudent,

OctGsam:
Thank you for the response. My question to this suggestion is:

1. If the fund is transferred from either of my parents as "gift deeds" - will the VO not doubt the genuineness based on the profile of my parent with pictures shown on either they can afford such a huge money?
2. For how long do I need to leave the fund in my account before application?
3. Do I need to write a LOE or any binding document for this transaction from them?
4. What if I transfer the fund myself from my other account? what is the implication or how best should be the approach?

Thank you in anticipation of your response.

Hello OctGsam,

The onus falls on you to prove that their level of establishment in your home country is good, or strong. Supply documents that are substantial enough to drive the nail down the hole.

Official gifts are very expensive, the more reason it must come with a receipt. Do well to include the Deed Gift. The LOE lays everything to rest.

The implication is; show justifiable evidence that can prove your source of income. It will be a better idea if the origin of the funds is proven, if the funds will be coming from the other account, a curious VO may have high hopes to see evidence of how the funds came about.

This doesn't mean it's a straight refusal, but to a certain extent, the application may tarry pending after when the officer makes a request for further information.

How best to approach depends on you. I already gave my opinion on this, and so is Frankrobbn1 a well-standing fellow.

For the house to advise further, you have to respond with a moulded choice from the options or advises dished out thus far.

Best of Luck
