We become do serious with Religion that we forget the fun part of it
I know man u fans who knows little about Liverpool players.
But in Religion, it is difficult for a Muslim to wear Santa clause uniform.
Difficult for Christian to eat Sallah meat

Religion stains whatever it touches. Religion has caused division among senior advocate of Nigeria. Ignoring the problem of religion in this country never manages to push the problem away. Ignoring the problem often compounds the problem until it grows into a mountain .

. An average Christian wishes  everyone is a Christian. An average Muslim wishes everyone becomes a Muslim. Each tries to project his desire to the other. Whenever a Muslim is in power, Christians fear he is on a mission to islamise the country.  Whenever a Christian becomes president, Muslims fear the same.This fear makes it difficult for them to cooperate amicably . Christian trust Christian leaders, Muslims trust Muslim leaders.


Our education system is fueling this saperation.  From primary school, children learn mathematics, English language, Basic science and other languages together. But when it comes to religious studies, Christians are divided from Muslims. This continues until the child finishes secondary school. The school saperates the children as kids and expect them to miraculously work together as adults.

The academia should develop a general religious knowledge curriculum. At an early age, children ought to be introduced to all form of religion outside the religion of their parents. A growing child should have basic knowledge of Christianity, Islam, African Traditional Religion, Buddhism etc.  Limiting him to one knowledge alone create a narrow mind and makes him difficult to tolerate and work with another Religion for which he never knew existed. When we delve into other belief, we become intrigued by the similarities. We become more accepting .


Christian should not wish everyone were a Christian. If everyone thinks alike, the world would be bored. God created us different for a reason . Muslim should wish every Christian develop a greater understanding and acceptance of Islam while remaining firmly within their own Religion.

Santa Claus has nothing to do with Christianity. It's just a western culture that has been imbibed into the Christmas celebration. In the same vein, Christmas itself has nothing to do with Christianity. It's just a day set aside y some Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ even though nobody sent them but that doesnt not necessarily mean that it's wrong to do so.

Seems to me like Christmas is all about Santa Claus and sharing of gifts than some Middle East man whose mother lied that some holy spirit impregnated her, and that she gave birth to him while still a virgin, even though three unknown men ( presumably men who slept with her before her pregnancy) showed up from no where with gifts for the baby. While the Simp called Joseph swallowed all her lies.

It has no role. Santa claus is pagan. Today, my people worship santa claus than jesus on christmas day. Infact they celebrate santa than jesus christ even in the church.

Mythical figure that brings gifts on the night of Christmas eve

Christmas is a moment of sharing love. Because Jesus Christ preach love as the greatest commandment he gave to us the followers of Christ.
Just as how we use that opportunity to share food items and all that. Santa Claus or father Christmas is just set up to also fulfill that purpose.

Christmas was naturally separated to be a day to celebrate Christ birth (December 25th or not doesn't matter, it's the intention).

Along the line it has become also a cultural event too so that's where santa Claus and the tree comes in.

All these doesn't matter, what matters is that it is a date set aside to remember Christ birth.

One way or the other

Christianity is a religion whose watch word is faith hope and charity. The santa you talk about was just one person's means of doing charity but don't want to be known. Not everybody likes it when people they offered help start thanking them unendingly, some just want to do it without notice. That was the intention of the person that started it till some persons start using it for monetary gain.even without wearing a costume, I can just drop gifts on people's door at Christmas, doesn't that make me santa clause?
