Seyi Makinde contested the 2015 Governorship election and wasn't successful, Seyi Makinde approached me in the build up to the 2019 general election and asked that I take him to my senior brother Ayo Fayose so he could get Oyo State PDP Governorship ticket, which I did. Prior to this, Seyi Makinde wasn't in the PDP, it was after I took him to my senior brother Governor Fayose that Makinde returned to PDP and the ticket was eventually handed to him. Check below for some of the messages Seyi Makinde and I exchanged before he returned to PDP and eventually became Governor In the chat below, as early as 2017, I told him he was going to become the next Governor of Oyo state, from his response, you will see that he didn't even believe he will be Governor His phone number is there for confirmation -Isaac Fayose

Sometimes I don't understand my people. You supported his candidacy just like thousands of other people. Does it means he should now surrender governorship power to you. I am not a GSM fan but he should be allowed to operate as we will measure his performance after 4years. |
