So after the rescue of the school boys, the bandits were left alone so that after a while they can abduct some more students. Why not secretly keep surveillance on the bandits so that now that the students have been rescued, the army can now engage them.

Jibrin said following the abduction of the boys, the minister led a delegation, including the Service Chiefs and the National Security Adviser, to Katsina and Kankara.

He said the minister gave the rules of engagement, directing the troops to ensure that the abducted boys were rescued without casualties and within the shortest time possible.

He said, “Following the directive, the troops closed in on the abductors from four different fronts, including the reinforcement that was made from other divisions, to ensure that the entire location was sealed off.

“The bandits were all under siege and they were fully aware of that, feeling the impacts of the presence of the troops both from the air and on the ground.

Some Swines, children of hate, Frustrations and perdition are so pained that non of the boys were killed.

Show us where he said that? The boys themselves said they re not boko haram. What's the argument anyway, boko or not, there is no justification for the kidnapping of small boys.

When American troops came to Nigeria to rescue an adopted American, we were shouting great great!

Our own military did the same now, some morons up there are shouting lies lies. Unpatriotic fools!
and you think rescuing over 300 people will be so easy and smooth, no bullets, no injuries, etc..if our military is so top notch, how come we still have boko boys causing so much trouble for us

Sad to say that that was the key failure of the Jonathan administration. In any kidnapping the quicker you go after the criminals the more likely there will be success.

At this point Chibok girls not recovered are living by the Grace of God. It has been years and they have been separated and forced into marriages across Nigeria. Some may not even want to go home for many psychological reasons. Continued prayers for them and their families.

These security officials still need to go, the fact is that it is their continued incompetence that has bred the ground for this sort of impunity. Their tenures are also expired let new blood come in and continue the job this is a democracy not a crowning.

There are enough holes in the story to bury 50 whales. But that's not the shocking part. The shocking part is that there are grown-ups who believe this crap.

you just read a report that said they neutralized bandits but at the same time it was an unarmed combat. don't you think? did the bandits drop their guns to fight Nigerian army while in custody of the boys? sycophancy is a terrible disease
